Damian Arban Williams — The Innkeeper

Damian Arban Williams is Lex Williams's paternal grandfather, a former head of the Williams family, and a senior collaborator of Sanguis Pluvia. He treats descendants as controllable assets, using coercion, cloning, bloodline experiments, and political marriages to advance his ambition until his actions against Lex's sisters make him the central target of Lex's personal revenge.

Biography

Family control and hidden experiments

Damian's relationship with his son Leon is built on command rather than affection: he manages children like subordinates and interprets Leon's hidden family as a lost asset. Once he learns Lex exists, ambition overrides confusion and he investigates the grandchild kept from him. Later testimony reveals a longer pattern. Damian repeatedly pressures Leon and Serene Williams, monitors their daughters, uses Belle and Liz as political or experimental leverage, and deliberately keeps Moon's soul strained while gathering tissue for cloning and a proposed vessel for Sekhmet. Sanguis Pluvia and escape

Damian's family policy serves a wider alliance with Sanguis Pluvia rather than only dynastic ambition. He works with Jeffery, preserves thousands of litres of Moon's blood and tissue, and plans to place the organization's Demi-Dao leader into a modified or cloned body based on Moon. When Lex and the Henali dismantle bases and expose Sekhmet, Damian escapes with the inner circle under higher-level protection. The failure costs him control of his family, but he remains composed, turns to research on the Sephore bloodline, and seeks a bloodline-revival potion that would replace his William inheritance for greater personal potential. Continuing pursuit

Lex's growing karmic skill converts revenge into an active hunt, while Damian continues acting through sold information, affiliated fleets, and engineered bodies. He enters the Tyranum realm personally, but a later attack on Almira uses a clone carrying his genuine bloodline and cultivation, preventing Lex from reaching the original. At the endpoint Damian's exact location after entering Tyranum is not shown; he remains alive, connected to the Heavenly Overlords Association, and threatened by Lex's bloodline tracking and karmic curse rather than confirmed defeated. Appearance and personality

Damian appears as a middle-aged human man with exhausted eyes and, by his later appearance, a controlled late-stage Heaven Immortal aura. He is ambitious, emotionally restrained, and skilled at presenting obedience to stronger powers without accepting their description of him as a slave. His treatment of family is utilitarian rather than impulsively cruel: he plans across decades, distributes risk, and preserves alternatives, making his calm calculation more dangerous than open rage. Abilities and cultivation

Heaven Immortal cultivation

Damian is initially identified as an Earth Immortal and later appears at the late stage of Heaven Immortal, with the intervening breakthrough unshown. His aura and survival among universal powers establish high cultivation, but the narrative supplies no named personal combat technique. Stronger figures can still dominate him, and his protection depends partly on Sanguis Pluvia and the Heavenly Overlords Association; this reliance is strategic support, not evidence that his own realm is false. Cloning, bloodlines, and long-term schemes

Damian preserves biological samples, commissions or produces weakened clones, and studies inherited traits to recreate Moon's unusual soul affinity. A later clone reproduces his genuine bloodline and cultivation closely enough to support a trap, though it remains distinguishable from the original to Lex. He also pursues a potion intended to replace his William bloodline with the Sephore line. These are research programs using facilities, collaborators, and materials rather than demonstrated innate powers, and the intended perfect Moon vessel is never confirmed successful. Damian is adept at political coercion and operational compartmentalization. He manipulates marriages, family obligations, proxy organizations, and hidden bases while keeping enough contingencies to escape a major purge. Lex's karmic curse and their bloodline connection create counters to that secrecy: messages about Damian can carry a curse toward him, and Lex can test whether they occupy the same realm.
