Yorrigan
Yorrigan is an Orrigan sister who leads resistance to Carliodas's puppet demon king. With Kai LuForia and Telia, she breaks the decisive enemy outposts, rescues a captured companion, and absorbs the former king's essence to become the demon world's new queen.
Biography
Civil war and ascent as demon queen
Yorrigan receives advance word of Kai's arrival and welcomes his aid because the demon world has been trapped in civil war for several years. Carliodas had killed a trusted resistance leader, installed a puppet king, and forced demons to empower mortal followers; powerful demons attracted to chaos joined him, leaving Yorrigan unable to reverse the war alone. She guides Kai and Telia through enemy outposts, explains the culture around a wartime ritual, and stops Kai from blindly destroying the final fort because her captive friend Blessa would be executed if the rescuers were detected. (Chapters 503–507)
Kai's deception gets them inside and allows Yorrigan to free Blessa, preserving a personal bond after earlier rescue attempts caused other captives' deaths. At the demon castle, Yorrigan releases her demonic energy and joins the advance, but Kai destroys the army and kills the puppet king before she can meaningfully engage. She then absorbs the dead ruler's essence and becomes demon queen. Yorrigan leaves Kai and Telia to confront Carliodas while she begins repairing the realm; later, she tells Torrigan where Kai can be found, enabling her sister to seek aid for Demonica. (Chapters 507–510 and 535)
Appearance and personality
Yorrigan belongs to the visually similar Orrigan sisters, but the narrative does not specify her individual hair color, eyes, height, clothing, horns, or other distinguishing features. Her demonic nature is shown through the energy she releases before the castle assault. (Chapter 508)
She is candid, irreverent, loyal, and protective. Yorrigan jokes with Kai and challenges his behavior, but her insistence on rescuing Blessa shows that victory is not worth sacrificing a friend. She initially doubts Kai's reckless infiltration, then accepts the improbable method once it succeeds. (Chapters 504–508)
Powers and abilities
Yorrigan uses demonic energy and can fly. By absorbing the demon king's essence, she inherits the queen's position and divine-scale authority over the realm, although the chapters do not show her spells, limits, or realm-transfer mechanics afterward. Before that ascent she leads a military resistance and possesses enough cultural knowledge to identify rituals and enemy structure, but remains dependent on Kai against the king and Carliodas. (Chapters 505 and 508–510)
Relationships
- Kai LuForia: Kai supplies overwhelming force for Yorrigan's rebellion and enables her ascent; their playful attraction includes a kiss, but no established marriage is shown.
- Telia: Telia joins Yorrigan's outpost campaign because both oppose Carliodas.
- Torrigan: Yorrigan warns and assists her sister by directing her toward Kai when Demonica needs help.
- Blessa: Yorrigan risks the final outpost operation to rescue her imprisoned friend.
Items
Kai gives Yorrigan an ordinary-looking stick that he claims will kill any enemy it strikes. She carries it during the campaign, but no successful use, special name, or lasting custody is established, so it is not a generated notable item.
