Telia

Telia is Windonia’s demigod empress, Aera’s daughter, and a wife of Kai LuForia. She recruits Kai after Brotherhood leader Carliodas wounds her with Progenitor Decay. Her command and wind-infused glaive combat make her Windonia’s principal defender.

Biography

The empress and the Brotherhood

Telia first appears personally judging serious criminals. When a captive claims that strength justifies murder, Telia removes her restraints, stops her sword barrage with ki pressure, and kills her under the logic she invoked. The scene establishes an empress who is severe but procedurally attentive. Aera then interrupts Telia’s attempt to test Kai, reveals his divine parentage, and asks him to help destroy the Brotherhood of Chaos. (Chapters 493–495)

The request is personal as well as political. Carliodas, Aera’s mortal-born son and Telia’s brother, acquired Progenitor Decay, rebelled against their rule, and cut a scar from Telia’s collarbone to below her navel. Telia defeated him once but could not finish him and remained unable to heal fully until Kai absorbed the decay. She accepts Kai as a husband and publicly makes him her servant, with his principal wives installed as handmaidens to preserve their cover. (Chapters 493–496)

Investigation and civil war

Telia uses captured Brotherhood members, sect leaders, and palace testimony to investigate a planned invasion. She convenes the court, assigns intelligence and defense work, and continues her paperwork even during private time with Kai. When evidence identifies high-ranking conspirators and demonic portals open over the capital, she orders every major and minor sect into a coordinated defense rather than depending entirely on her own demigod power. (Chapters 498–511)

Carliodas attacks Aera’s divine realm after elevating himself with decay. Telia leaves the capital’s defense to Kai, Kyana, and Sasha and joins her mother, striking Carliodas with a wind-wrapped glaive and coordinating their attacks. They wound him but cannot overcome his regeneration and corruption; Kai ultimately restrains and kills him, then removes the decay from both women. Telia survives with her throne, family, and capital intact. (Chapters 511–513)

Rule after the crisis

Telia supports Kai’s later expedition into the town trapped outside time and stays informed through Aera. When its ancient inhabitants return, she begins relief programs before Kai even reaches the palace, helping them enter a society one thousand years beyond their own era. She also reunites with her old friend Thalia and lets an exhausted Kai rest on her lap while they exchange what happened during the temporal prison. (Chapters 514–535)

At the Divinity City celebration, Telia remains part of Kai’s family and recognizes the danger when a drunk primordial insults his wives. The corpus ends without a change to her throne or demigod classification. Her latest confirmed position is Windonia’s living empress and an already-divine member of the LuForia household. (Chapter 557)

Appearance and personality

Telia is a tall woman with long black hair, golden eyes, a large bust, and a scar that initially runs from below her collarbone past her navel. She wears a black hanfu decorated in gold and keeps a guzheng beside her throne. Kai heals the scar in Chapter 494, so it is not part of her latest appearance. In battle she carries replacement glaives when decay ruins one. (Chapters 493–494, 512–513)

Her public manner is commanding and cold toward violent criminals. Telia enjoys dominance and teasing in private, but she is not careless about rule: she finishes paperwork before leisure, delegates to specialists, questions survivors, and prepares a national defense. She loves Aera enough to leave the capital when her mother is in immediate danger and later responds to displaced civilians with organized relief. (Chapters 493–513, 534–535)

Powers and abilities

Telia enters as a demigod. Her ki pressure blocks manifested swords and overwhelms ordinary people across a throne room, while her speed lets her bisect an attacker before observers register the strike. She can enter Aera’s divine realm and withstand exchanges with a decay-enhanced god, but Progenitor Decay bypasses her durability and prevents natural healing. (Chapters 493–494, 511–513)

Her primary weapon is a glaive. Telia wraps its edge in divine wind, projects crescent blades, thrusts rapidly enough to pierce Carliodas, and forms wind wings for aerial pursuit. She and Aera can layer mortal and divine wind into stronger combined attacks, including a spear that pins their opponent against the sky. Decay can spread through and ruin the weapon, forcing Telia to discard it and draw a replacement, and Carliodas remains too strong for the pair to defeat without Kai. (Chapter 512)

Telia supervises judgment, interrogates prisoners, directs four specialized sects, and assigns frontline, intelligence, formation, and medical roles during invasion. Her command depends on an intact court and communication network; the Brotherhood’s spies, portals, and planted devices bypass those systems. (Chapters 493, 498–511)

No Power progression table is included because Telia enters the story already confirmed as a demigod and remains one through Chapter 557. Kai healing her old decay wound restores her prior condition rather than advancing her rank, and the corpus shows no later formal level, persistent transformation, or new structural power state.

Relationships

• Aera: Aera is Telia’s mother, goddess, and battlefield partner. Telia answers her summons, accepts her judgment concerning Kai, and risks herself against Carliodas rather than let Aera fight alone. (Chapters 493–513)
• Kai LuForia: Telia recruits Kai, accepts his marriage proposal, and publicly casts him as her servant. Their playful private power struggle becomes a genuine alliance when he heals her, protects Windonia, and defeats Carliodas. (Chapters 493–535)
• Kyana and Sasha: Telia appoints them handmaidens and relies on them to defend the capital while she aids Aera. Their work in her court also gives Telia access to trusted outsiders for investigations and judgments. (Chapters 495–511)
• Carliodas: Carliodas is Telia’s brother and the leader who nearly kills her with decay. She opposes his insurgency, refuses to abandon Aera to him, and survives their final confrontation. (Chapters 494, 511–513)

Items

Telia keeps an unnamed guzheng beside her throne, but the corpus does not show her playing it or establish magical properties. She fights with replaceable glaives that channel her wind ki; decay destroys at least one, confirming that the weapons are not indestructible personal artifacts. (Chapters 493, 512)
