Korrigan

Korrigan is an Orrigan sister selected by the demon world's essence to become queen after Aion kills Settala. Forced to cooperate with the invader at first, she warns her sisters, recruits Kai LuForia, and later struggles to stabilize a realm whose demons fear Aion more than their new ruler.

Biography

A coerced crown and resistance to Aion

Korrigan serves in Settala's court when Aion kills the reigning queen and demands obedience. The dormant realm essence chooses Korrigan as the successor, granting the crown she and her sisters had wanted but placing her immediately under a Titan-level occupier. To prevent more executions, she orders the court to obey while privately calling her sisters, warning Yorrigan and Torrigan, and seeking Kai. She identifies Aion from a mental image and asks Kai to reclaim the demon world, turning outward cooperation into a strategy for survival. (Chapters 460–462)

Korrigan accompanies Kai to a mortal village invaded through a realm crack, condemns her own subjects' atrocities, and absorbs the lingering demonic energy after he closes the breach. After Aion's defeat, she remains queen but cannot immediately restore order because the districts fear the invader's return more than they respect her authority. Kai's clones assist her stabilization campaign. When genuine Primordial Decay later attacks the demon world, Korrigan warns Kai, tries to keep him from striking the dangerous orb, and is eventually exhausted and corrupted while defending the realm until he rescues her. (Chapters 462–471)

Appearance and personality

Korrigan closely resembles her Orrigan sisters. Kai distinguishes her by a more proportionate figure than the sisters he has already met, but the text does not specify her hair, eyes, height, clothing, or demonic features. (Chapter 461)

She is pragmatic, responsible, and willing to conceal defiance until resistance becomes possible. Korrigan dislikes demonic savagery, worries when Kai takes reckless risks, and keeps defending her realm even when sleep deprivation and Decay leave her near collapse. (Chapters 460–471)

Powers and abilities

As demon queen, Korrigan carries the demon world's ruling essence, uses demonic energy, flies, opens portals between the mortal and demon realms, and absorbs residual demonic power after a breach closes. She can enter Kai's vicinity through a darkened projection-like space and respond to contact across realms. Her authority is not absolute: districts resist her rule, Aion can compel the court through superior force, and genuine Primordial Decay both blocks her messages and corrupts her body beyond her healing capacity. (Chapters 460–471)

Relationships

  • Kai LuForia: Korrigan recruits Kai against Aion and repeatedly relies on him for realm defense; their flirtation does not become a confirmed partnership in these chapters.
  • Morrigan: Morrigan coordinates the sisters' response when Korrigan reports Aion's coup.
  • Yorrigan and Torrigan: Korrigan's warning prompts the wider Orrigan family to prepare for attacks.
  • Aion: Aion murders Korrigan's predecessor and coerces her first acts as queen.

Items

Korrigan has no named or generated personal item. The demon-world essence is an absorbed source of rulership and power rather than a portable artifact.
