Janna
Janna Gryff is a noble swordswoman, Hero Academy student, Disciplinary Committee vice president, and later partner of Kai LuForia. Her story crosses Kai's early travels, academy life, the royal army crisis, and his divine family. Janna retains agency through institutional leadership, searching for her father, protecting students, and explicitly choosing to join Kai's household and become a mother.
Biography
The road to Hero Academy
Janna first appears traveling with her mother, Kirlia Gryff, after earning admission to the selective Hero Academy through sustained training. She initially condemns paying bandits as cowardice, but accepts Kirlia's explanation that avoiding conflict can protect companions who cannot defend themselves. When the bandits become greedy and attack anyway, Janna prepares her sword beside her mother, only for Kai to intervene and kill the group. The encounter gives her both a rescuer and an early lesson that neither idealistic defiance nor accommodation guarantees safety. (Chapter 41)
Janna is fascinated by Kai because he is her age yet does not understand his own place in the power system. She provides the Power Meter, explains the complete mortal mana-tier scale and divine thresholds, and confirms his Tier-10 reading. Her questions are not passive admiration: they turn an accidental meeting into useful knowledge for both of them and support Kirlia's attempt to recruit him to the Academy. Janna cannot perceive the mana-eating mist even after focusing mana into her eyes, but she helps test its effect with a controlled flame. Janna later enters Kai's home by choice, states that she has loved him since their early meetings, and explicitly asks to become his woman.
