Henry

Henry is Skadi's third prince and becomes king after Prince James Veston Vanaheim's coup. Kai LuForia lends him public prestige, rescues him from execution, and raises him to a Tier-10 magic knight. His accession is political rather than a power stage; the separate Tier-10 enhancement is a genuine capability change. His reign begins with reconstruction, popular support, and a severe purge of James's allies.

Biography

Recognition and alliance with Kai

Henry meets Kai after the young demigod publicly supports the Third Prince's faction while serving Charlotte and House Nord. Recognizing that Kai is far more valuable than an ordinary attendant, Henry offers greater resources and a place at his side. When Kai prefers to remain with the Nords, Henry accepts without resentment because they are already political allies. He then orders his people to protect Kai, correctly anticipating that rival princes will recruit or assassinate a power they cannot control. (Chapter 430)

An unnatural blizzard gives the alliance its first public test. Hundreds of thousands are displaced, shelters overflow, and food reserves collapse. Kai proposes building enormous protected havens, distributing unlimited supplies, and conducting rescues under Henry's name. Henry identifies the likely propaganda attacks from his brothers and follows Kai's advice to announce the plan publicly. James chooses the kingdom's wider crisis as the moment to kill King Louis, imprison the queen and princess, and attack Henry's supporters.
