A young caretaker becomes Button's companion

Lyric is introduced as a young half-Elf among the caretakers doting on Button during a lakeside gathering. She joins the household's games, travels with adult supervision, and helps keep the more impulsive dragon from becoming lost or unattended. (Chapters 1198–1222 and 1272)

As Button's circle expands, Lyric helps catch runaways, follows her into unfamiliar social situations, and recognizes fears the sheltered dragon does not understand. By the Tiny World's later hatchling period she participates in building a nature-magic tree fort and preparing communal sleeping spaces, moving from playmate to dependable young helper.
