A household worker routes refugees to the portal mage

The first Beth works at Darklight House when Karl arrives with Elven children who need transport to Glatt. She reports that the visiting group is waiting for the elderly portal mage Nathan and gives the returning household members the relevant destination without confusion. Her brief intervention places her in the local support staff that turns guild travel into refugee assistance, but the corpus supplies no class, rank, family, or later scene for this Beth. Nothing in the later Drodh or Gazdri material connects either woman to Darklight House. The early Beth's identity therefore ends with the household scene rather than being used to infer that a staff member later changes species, nation, and family. (Chapter 436)

A Drodh barmaid uses calm to keep a violent tavern working

The Drodh Beth is a Succubus barmaid working at the inn where Karl's group stays. She handles sailors and guards who regularly drink and fight, uses a touch with a hypnotic effect to relax an angry captain, and keeps serving food while a brawl destroys the furniture. Her humor about closing early and willingness to accept Lotus's repair help show that repeated violence is an occupational problem she manages rather than a crisis that drives her away. Beth reads the Darklight Host contract alongside Dora and pays close attention before anyone signs. Karl stops her because the employment offer belongs to Dora, preserving the daughter's independent consent despite Beth's protective involvement. The Gazdri healer shares strong nature and earth magic with her family and has enough medical expertise to teach Dora four years of first aid.
