Biography

Mistaking the rescuers for intruders

Sarah confronts E.E and Gustav Oslov while their appearances are altered, points a powerful blaster, and accidentally fires when E.E reaches toward her. After recognizing him, she apologizes and explains that their mother now works in the safer upper district, helping the group decide to remove the family from danger. (Chapters 665–666)

Easing E.E's guilt and leaving the city

When E.E returns again, Sarah questions the secrecy but then addresses his longstanding guilt over their late brother Sam. She tells him the family loves him and that Sam would not want his pain, embracing him before the evacuation.
