Principal Durk

Principal Durk leads Atrihea City High during the interschool knowledge and combat exchange. He enforces evidence against false accusations but applies a harsh battlefield ethic inconsistently when his own student suffers.

Biography

Judging the knowledge exchange

Durk stops Vivy from accusing Gustav Oslov of cheating without proof, replays the question sequence, and orders her to apologize when the record vindicates him. He then hosts the combat phase and announces rules that permit injuries, establishing an event designed to test more than academic prestige. His early rulings favor procedure even when they embarrass his own school's participant. (Chapters 102–109)

The battlefield standard turns inward

When another principal objects to brutal treatment of a conscious student, Durk argues that real enemies show no mercy and that painful consequences are valid training. Later, Gustav—disguised as Falco—beats Durk's student Zim with the same ruthless logic. Durk protests on moral grounds but the other principals repeat his own argument, forcing him to watch and exposing the self-interest inside his earlier certainty. (Chapters 111–120)

Appearance and personality

The corpus does not provide a sustained distinctive physical description for Durk. He is authoritative, attentive to event procedure, and willing to correct his own student publicly. He also becomes defensive and inconsistent when consequences fall on Atrihea City High, making pride in his institution a clear limit on his impartiality. (Chapters 102–120)

Bloodlines and abilities

No personal bloodline, combat technique, or formal rank is demonstrated. Durk's established skills are administrative: adjudicating evidence, announcing matches, enforcing apologies, and controlling an interschool event. Event barriers and screens are venue systems rather than his innate abilities. (Chapters 102–109)
