Junior Commander Dart
Junior Commander Dart is a Zaliban officer whom Gustav kills and impersonates during the Leoluch infiltration. Actions after Dart's death belong to Gustav using his face, not to the real commander.
Biography
Compromised commander
Dart serves as one of Commander Fabian's junior-command henchmen and gives a communications device to Cassandra, a woman he wants to visit again. Gustav Oslov uses Cassandra's appearance to enter Dart's room, where Dart boasts about cheating on his wife and follows the apparent visitor into a private encounter. His appetite and assumption of safety create the access Gustav needs. (Chapters 539–540)
Death and stolen identity
Gustav kills Dart with an Atomic blade, dissolves the corpse, copies his body, and takes his clothing, keycard, storage device, and access. From that point onward, “Dart” moving through the base is Gustav's impersonation. The disguise lets Gustav approach Sahil and manipulate Zaliban operations until Folan notices abilities and speed the real Dart never possessed, exposing the impostor. (Chapters 541–551)
Appearance and personality
Dart's features are copied exactly by Gustav, but the retained corpus emphasizes behavior over a standalone physical portrait. He is lecherous, unfaithful, corrupt, and comfortable with expensive jewelry and privileged access. Those habits make Cassandra's invitation plausible and help Gustav perform his identity after death. (Chapters 539–543)
Bloodlines and abilities
The real Dart's bloodline is not demonstrated before his death. Folan explicitly recognizes that the impostor uses speed and abilities Dart does not have, which is crucial negative evidence: Gustav's Atomic Manipulation, tracking, and other feats while disguised cannot be assigned to Dart. Dart's established power is command access within the Zaliban structure. (Chapters 541–548)
