Vanesy Glory commands the division assembled for Arthur's first coastal assignment. Initially uncertain about the very young general, she nevertheless answers his logistical questions and adapts quickly when the camp comes under attack. Vanesy organizes mixed units of foot soldiers, augmenters, archers, and conjurers, orders flanking movements with precise confidence, and leads the relief of Auddyr's force. She survives the disastrous retainer encounter bloodied and dirty but still focused on her duty. (Chapters 150, 154–156, and 162)

Appearance and personality

Vanesy is a veteran soldier whose battlefield appearance is defined by light armor and a pair of longswords. She is blunt, skeptical, and practical, yet remains adaptable under pressure; even after severe fighting, Arthur sees the determination still burning in her eyes. (Chapters 150 and 154–156)

Relationships

She serves under Arthur Leywin and shares the coastal command with Jarnas Auddyr. Her more orderly response to the surprise attack helps stabilize Auddyr's endangered division. (Chapters 150 and 154)
