Naesia, daughter of Novis, enters the Epheotan storyline as a young phoenix of Clan Avignis and soon leads a group in the ritual hunt. Fighting beside Arthur and Ellie gives her a basis for judging them beyond asuran politics. Afterward, she defends Arthur's standing, treats Ellie as a respected companion, and balances her wish for freedom with the duties expected of a great-clan heir during the final political transition. (Chapters 508–515 and 532–537)

Appearance and personality

Naesia dresses in red, gray, and gold, with fine chains and jewels suited to her station. She is playful, candid, sociable, and restless under courtly restrictions, yet her humor does not prevent her from taking leadership and clan duty seriously. (Chapters 508, 515, and 532)

Relationships

She is Novis's daughter and a member of Clan Avignis. Her shared hunt builds mutual respect with Eleanor Leywin, while her later curiosity about Chul Asclepius develops into tentative romantic interest. (Chapters 515, 532, and 537)
