History

Ren's bargain with Priscilla

While adapting to demonic blood, Ren Dover suffers voices, scales, insomnia, and impulses that threaten his identity. He approaches Priscilla Pertinol for enough World Nectar to treat four people, offering her an advantage in the coming devil-fruit competition. Priscilla reacts as though he has asked to rob her because the nectar is nearly as rare as the purest World Tree fruit, but ultimately transfers multiple portions under their agreement. (Chapters 705–706)

Stabilization and concealed distribution

Ren consumes a tube and experiences immediate quiet: the voices and impulses recede, allowing him to feel normal and sleep. One dose is insufficient, so he secures more by claiming his companions also require treatment. Over the following months he assimilates both the blood and nectar, while the disappearance of a sizeable amount from Priscilla's house helps her grandfather infer that a secret transaction occurred. The exact portions consumed by Amanda, Jin, or Melissa are not individually shown. (Chapters 707, 718–721)

Properties and functions

World Nectar's central effect is mental clarity. Demons are habitually influenced by bloodline impulses, and the nectar suppresses that pressure; for Ren, it quiets intrusive voices, reduces involuntary transformation, permits sleep, and supports the longer process of assimilating demonic blood. It does not itself raise his formal rank, instantly complete assimilation, or permanently cure the problem after one dose. Its rarity and the need for repeated portions sharply limit routine use.
