A Planetary Seed is a concentrated fragment of the Akashic Records hidden within particular worlds.

History

Jezebeth's source of Akashic power

Jezebeth first appears with three seeds resembling small white suns and draws them into his mouth. A later seed strikes him with overwhelming white energy and transmits enough information for him to recognize the fragments' connection to the Akashic Records. By swallowing further seeds, he gains access to Akashic Laws—the one power he identifies as capable of harming the Records—and makes seed-bearing planets the targets of his interplanetary destruction. Strategic importance

The seeds become more than consumable fuel. Jezebeth describes them as his main source of strength and the key leading him toward the Records, while his recovered history credits discovering one after the demonic cube as the event that made his later ascent possible. He does not destroy planets indiscriminately: he searches specifically for worlds concealing fragments, although incomplete memories leave him uncertain how many remain. (Chapters 628, 777)

Properties and functions

Planetary Seeds appear as intensely luminous white orbs or miniature suns containing energy powerful enough to inspire fear at a glance. They are also called Akashic fragments. Ingestion grants or expands access to Akashic Laws and conveys knowledge associated with the Records. The corpus does not define how a world produces or conceals a seed, whether removal necessarily destroys its planet, how many total fragments exist, or whether a fragment can be recovered after absorption.
