Zack

Zack is a Lock Academy student who participates in the group phase of the inter-academy exchange tryouts. He is distinct from Zack Valdev and the A-rank commentator Zack Middlespaw.

Biography

The abandoned-building trial

Zack joins Ren Dover, Amanda Stern, Jin Horton, Arnold and Donald Berson in the same trial group. He helps identify the capsules that serve as the exercise's objective, follows Ren to the abandoned building selected as their camp, and later waits by a pillar while the group coordinates its timed plan through their watches. His contribution is practical rather than spectacular, but it places him inside the team's successful deception-and-retrieval operation. (Chapters 140–146)

Appearance and personality

Zack is skinny, with black hair, black eyes, a long nose, and a height close to Ren's. His easy conversation with Donald and willingness to follow the group's agreed plan present him as sociable and cooperative. (Chapters 141–146)
