Samantha Dover

Samantha Dover is Ren and Nola's openly affectionate mother and the emotional center of the Dover household.

Biography

Making a family feel real

Samantha's embrace during Ren's first homecoming breaks through his emotional distance from the family whose son's body he inhabits. She and Ronald hide their guild crisis to protect him, then endure his danger, disappearance, and return without making their care conditional. Later Samantha supports Nola, hosts the reunited Stern family, and turns a politically fraught gathering into an ordinary shared meal, giving Ren a domestic refuge he cannot manufacture through strategy. (Chapters 76–80, 158–268, 467, 538–542)

The corpus gives Samantha little fixed physical detail beyond a warm maternal presence. She is affectionate, expressive, practical, and hospitable, quick to hug, worry, scold, and feed the people she considers family. (Chapters 76–80, 538–542)

No formal combat rank or named ability is established. Samantha's narrative strength is domestic leadership and emotional directness rather than battlefield action. (Chapters 76–80, 538–542)
