Silvana Zentur

Silvana Zentur is the War Priestess who represents the Warlock Centaurs in the Battle Exchange, the Flag War, and the Tritan Alliance. Her stern defense of her people gradually broadens into respect for Michael Fang, but that alliance makes her a target in the human campaign against the Berserkers and Warlock Centaurs.

Biography

Battle Exchange and Interdimensional Flag War

Silvana enters the Battle Exchange as the Warlock Centaurs' senior representative beside Berserker Chieftain Palika Mavenham, enforcing the rules and initially sharing her people's distrust of the humans. The mixed teams' performance forces her to reconsider inherited hostility, and Michael's conduct during the Dark Heavens attack becomes decisive: although she first dismisses his warning while furious over murdered Warlock Centaurs, she later accepts his evidence, protects him from opportunistic human leaders, helps secure Aethyr for him, and treats his teacher Alice Zenovia with greater regard. She loses an arm during the counterattack yet continues directing the alliance until Bloodhound and Crimson ambush its leaders; after both arms are severed and she receives fatal wounds, her body is consumed by Purgatory Flame. (Chapters 336, 341, 347, 448–465, 508–509, 543–546, and 740)

Trials, Divinities, and the Titan War

Silvana's influence persists through Niechol, the son who succeeds her as the Warlock Centaurs' leader. When the wider alliance later needs help, Niechol and the Berserker leadership remain at home rather than expose their peoples to another attack; Michael remembers that restraint as a defensive necessity, not abandonment. Silvana's death therefore leaves both a political alliance and a lasting vulnerability that her heir must manage. (Chapters 849 and 905)

Appearance and personality

Silvana is a Warlock Centaur, but the corpus does not isolate further physical details beyond the traits of her race. She carries a glaive in battle. Her public manner is stern, proud, and commanding, and injury to her people can make her furious enough to discount caution. She is nevertheless capable of revising a judgment when shown convincing evidence and repays courage with protection and respect. (Chapters 336, 452, and 740)

Warlock Centaur powers and leadership

Silvana is a powerful Warlock Centaur combatant who fights with a glaive and coordinates closely with Palika Mavenham. Together they use an Artifact or Soultrait-mediated defense to blunt a darkness shockwave during the Dark Heavens assault. The precise name and mechanics of her personal power are not established, and even grievous injuries materially limit her: she loses an arm in the first crisis and is overwhelmed when two much stronger human enemies sever both arms in the later ambush. (Chapters 450, 454–455, and 740)

Her other demonstrated strength is command. She administers interspecies events, makes security decisions for the Warlock Centaurs, participates in Tritan negotiations, and uses her standing to protect allies from political predation. That authority depends on her office and on cooperation with the Berserker Chieftain rather than on a separately explained leadership ability. (Chapters 336, 461, and 508–509)

Relationships

  • Michael Fang: Silvana initially treats his warnings skeptically, but his actions against Dark Heavens earn her trust. She later protects his interests, helps obtain Aethyr for him, and holds him in high regard.
  • Alice Zenovia: Alice benefits politically from being Michael's teacher once Silvana's respect for him extends to those close to him.
  • Palika Mavenham: The Berserker Chieftain is Silvana's counterpart in alliance leadership and her frequent collaborator in combat and diplomacy.
  • Niechol: Her son succeeds her as leader of the Warlock Centaurs and preserves the defensive obligations created by her death.
  • Bloodhound and Crimson: The human powerhouses ambush and kill Silvana as part of the assault on the alliance's nonhuman leaders.

Items

  • Glaive: Silvana's demonstrated battlefield weapon during her final fight.
  • Aethyr: Silvana and Palika help arrange Michael's access to the valuable material; she is a political facilitator rather than its owner.
