Raven

Raven, also called Sandro, is a trusted Descendant who reveals himself as a high-ranking infiltrator during the Interdimensional Flag War. His attempt to turn Killian Zeus into a Death Knight instead transforms Raven himself into an undead incarnation that escapes the camp.

Biography

Savannah Alliances and Regional War

Raven selects the emotionally unstable Killian Zeus as the ideal victim for a single-use Death Orb, orders his cells to capture chosen targets and kill everyone else, and enters Killian's tent through shadow. An overclocked Soultrait lets him immobilize his former friend, but Michael interrupts before the orb is swallowed. Mortally wounded by a Soul Glacicle Bullet, Raven breaks the orb inside his own chest, becomes the Incarnation of Death Knight Likar, spreads lifeforce-draining fog, and battles Michael and Killian until reinforcements arrive and he disappears. (Chapters 487–494)

Arx, the Sacred Desert, and Bloodline Revelations

Raven does not appear bodily in this phase. A crimson-haired Hyuman tells Michael that Quinn and Raven had sent reports about him and had even exaggerated his strength, establishing that Raven or an intelligence stream attributed to him reached the Supreme Human Alliance after the Flag War. The remark does not explain whether Raven regained a mortal body, remained a Death Knight, or simply transmitted the report before his transformation; his later condition therefore remains unresolved. (Chapter 739)

Appearance and personality

Before transformation, Raven is clad in shadow and distinguished chiefly by eyes that glow bright purple or violet. Killian recognizes the face as that of a close friend, but the corpus provides no reliable hair, height, build, or clothing details. The Death Orb rapidly ages and decays that youthful body until only bones, dark connecting threads, and soul fire in empty sockets remain. Raven is cold, ideological, manipulative, and capable of manic cruelty, savoring the prospect of Killian killing thousands. (Chapters 487–490)

Immobilization, shadow movement, and Death Knight form

Raven can travel through shadows and possesses an unnamed Soultrait which, overclocked through an Elite Class Soul Technique, exerts enough brute force to stop Killian's body and force open his mouth. His Death Knight form loses access to that technique but gains tireless motion, little or no pain, a defensive coating of death energy, death beams, and a fog that drains lifeforce. The form's skeleton cannot circulate the death swirl's full power, while holy cleansing forces it to spend additional energy sustaining the fog. (Chapters 487–491)

Relationships

Killian Zeus

Killian considers Raven a familiar face and good friend until the ambush reveals the charade. Raven chooses him specifically for emotional instability and intends to force him to witness mass death before becoming a calamity. After the plan fails, the undead Raven continues targeting Killian, while remnants of his mission stop him from killing Maria. (Chapters 487–494)

Michael Fang and Maria Seraph

Michael interrupts Raven without hesitation, inflicts the mortal wound that triggers his contingency, and protects Maria while she cleanses the fog. Raven's orders require Maria alive and identify her Primal Amplifier as expendable, making the pair central but different targets in his operation. (Chapters 488–494)

Quinn Karta and the traitor cells

Raven commands several groups of infiltrators and assigns missions, suggesting higher standing than ordinary Descendant traitors. Chapter 739 pairs his report with Quinn's, but the corpus does not define their personal relationship or precise ranks. The “raven mask” worn by Michael in Chapter 551 is unrelated equipment and does not establish Raven's presence there. (Chapters 487, 492, 551, 739)

Items

Death Orb

The Death Orb is a one-use object covered in millions of miniature seals and filled with ancient death energy. Raven intends Killian to consume it but instead presses it into his own chest after being mortally wounded. His blood breaks the seals, the orb destroys his mortal life, floods the camp with death energy, and creates the Death Knight incarnation. It shatters during activation and is not recoverable afterward. (Chapters 487–490)
