Killian Zeus

Killian Zeus is the Zeus heir, a six-star lightning specialist, and one of the strongest academy prodigies of his generation. He delays Higher Ascension to fight in the Interdimensional Flag War, where his fixation on Maria Seraph turns Michael Fang into a hated rival. Killian’s violence and pride make him vulnerable to manipulation, but his refusal to kill a valuable ally and his later battlefield cooperation reveal more discipline than his reputation suggests. After requiring Michael’s help to reach Divine rank, the rivalry wounds his self-worth deeply enough that he leaves the Origin Universe for the Unknown Domain.

Biography

Battle Exchange and Interdimensional Flag War

Killian enters the academy storyline as a fourth-year Peak Tier 3 Lord who has deliberately restrained his War Rune rather than ascend before the Flag War. The Zeus family sends him and Oliver to Meku to earn the respect of Berserkers and Warlock Centaurs and advance Olympus’s commercial position. His first major action nearly sabotages that diplomacy: after defeating Thaor, Killian continues driving dark-purple lightning through the immobilized Berserker despite healers’ pleas. Michael disrupts the attack, and the Chieftain’s overwhelming pressure forces Killian to retreat while redirecting his humiliation into anger at Michael. (Chapters 312–340)

Killian’s destructive Soultrait and mastery of the Zeus inheritance make him a Flag War variable expected to operate alone or rescue endangered teams. That role suits his strength but exposes a leadership flaw: Oliver says Killian insists on command while fighting at the front, where he cannot read the entire battlefield as well as a supporter could. Killian also uses excessive brutality to frighten away weak challengers. Inside the Flag War, Killian demonstrates why other descendants fear him. Yet jealousy makes him dangerously unstable. He considers luring Michael away and killing him, allowing Raven to identify him as an ideal target for manipulation. Fighting Raven and the Tekur forces Killian to revise his judgment. He accepts Michael’s help, protects the survivor camp, and challenges him directly rather than plotting in secret. Their spar reaches a potentially lethal exchange, but Killian disperses his final attack after remembering that Michael saved him and could become a pillar for humanity. He then leads the regrouped descendants, coordinates with Michael against Tekur and traitors, and reports Michael’s strategic value to Oliver before pursuing a Zeus-family agreement. Arx, the Sacred Desert, and Bloodline Revelations

By the next Flag War cycle, Killian is no longer eligible alongside the prodigies who had delayed Higher Ascension the previous year. He redirects his effort into integrating Aquarius, the Soultrait his family obtained through Michael’s first auction, with King of Thunder and the Zeus inheritance. Long after the earlier wars, Killian struggles to complete Divine Ascension until Michael gives him a droplet of Origin Liquid. Michael understands that Killian no longer hates him, yet believes his rival feels like a loser because even the breakthrough that should affirm Killian’s achievement depends on Michael’s gift. Appearance and personality

Killian is a young man with short golden hair. When he senses danger or channels lightning, the hair across his body stands on end, and stray sparks or electricity currents can be seen around his arms and eyes. Thunder armor later covers his body in concentrated purple lightning, but that is a manifested combat state rather than ordinary clothing or anatomy. He can fire bolts from his fingers, sheath his body in living thunder armor, summon thunderclouds that absorb ambient energy, and combine the gathered current into a massive strike across multiple targets. Lightning also amplifies his movement and physical force, letting him become a purple flash, decapitate stunned enemies, or charge as a humanoid thunderbolt. At the academy, direct bolts penetrate defenses that weaken ordinary attacks and continue burning Thaor from the inside, demonstrating both lethality and the danger of sustained exposure. The thunder armor can be compressed tightly for defense and speed or expanded into a half-armor, half-domain that lashes at every living being nearby except Killian. Killian reaches the Enlightenment realm of the Zeus Inheritance Technique roughly a decade earlier than other family members. It also lets him push thunder armor toward a domain state and weave lightning through weapon attacks. The same build performs poorly when restraint and distributed awareness matter. Michael first becomes Killian’s enemy by stopping his punishment of Thaor, then becomes personally intolerable as Maria’s Primal Amplifier. Michael nevertheless saves him from Raven and repeatedly strengthens him during the Flag War. Killian answers by stopping his own lethal strike, fighting alongside him, protecting his secret long enough for Alice to hear it first, and warning Oliver that the Zeus family must negotiate rather than destroy a resource crucial to humanity. Their rivalry survives long after immediate hatred fades. Michael becomes Killian’s benchmark, inspiring harsher training and a more determined will to win, while Killian remains one of the rare peers Michael uses to measure exceptional combat talent. The imbalance eventually becomes corrosive: Michael provides the Origin Liquid that enables Killian’s Divine Ascension, and later judges that the gift made his rival feel like a loser. Oliver is Killian’s uncle despite being only three years older. Flag War testimony states that Killian possesses at least two Legendary Artifacts, part of the exceptional support available to a Zeus heir. Aquarius first exists as one of the water Soultrait Symbols sold through the Bartholomew Corporation’s auction.
