Cube of Silence

The Cube of Silence is one of Zarveth's six Infinity Relics, a silver cube used to bind Sharnoth so completely that she cannot heal, move, or speak.

History

Sharnoth's restraint and release

After the Blade of Rewriting cuts Sharnoth off from Chaos, the Cube floats behind Zarveth and sustains her physical restraint. Nux identifies it as the object keeping her immobilized and draws Zarveth's attention with an apparent attempt to pull it toward himself. While Zarveth contests that movement, Nux uses an illusion and appears behind him with the actual Cube already shattered. The broken connection releases its hold and leaves Zarveth with only four of his original six Infinity Relics. (Chapters 2109–2110)

Abilities and properties

  • The Cube suppresses movement, speech, and healing at the same time, holding even Sharnoth's unstable Body of Chaos motionless after her connection to Chaos is severed. (Chapter 2109)
  • Its restraint depends on the intact relic and Zarveth's connection to it. Nux's destruction of the Cube erases that connection and ends the binding. (Chapter 2109)
  • The corpus identifies the Cube as an Infinity Relic but does not explain its construction, activation ritual, range, or whether it can bind a target without the Blade's prior suppression. (Chapters 2109–2110)
