Royce

Royce Alveye is Felberta's son and Nux's adopted family. Introduced as an eight-year-old academy student suffering abuse because of his lower noble rank, he grows into an Emperor and later a Sage, builds a family with Olivia Rague, and is advanced to the Saint Stage when Yrniel's cultivation crisis threatens their lives. The spy named “Royce Tatume” in Chapters 183–185 is a separate person.

Biography

The bullied student gains a family

Royce is an eight-year-old Mortal student at Skyfall Academy when three older Beginner cultivators repeatedly assault him. He is too frightened of their noble families to defend himself or report them, and the academy's hierarchy treats the abuse as an ordinary lesson about rank. Nux, newly arrived at the school, refuses that logic: he rescues Royce, beats the attackers, and publicly challenges Candice's claim that their status makes the attack fair. (Chapters 230–262)

Royce worries that Nux will be punished for helping him, but quickly trusts the older student as “Big Brother Nux.” Nux takes him home to Felberta and eventually asks Royce to call him father.
