Roone

Roone Lizander is Herms's son and the newly ascended Emperor placed at the center of Solid Earth's expansion. Confident in forced recruitment, superior numbers, and his own cultivation, he drives the invasion of Skyfall until Nux exposes the risks hidden inside his specialized combat style.

Biography

Building an army for conquest

Roone wants to begin the second phase of Solid Earth's plan as soon as a scheduled meeting appears suspicious, but Herms counsels patience. Once committed, Roone turns every available clan, sect, and adventurer into military material, using overwhelming power to force cooperation and ordering the kingdom sealed so spies cannot escape. The result is an army of roughly two hundred thousand meant to crush Skyfall and the Woods Dynasty. He regards the old office of Protector as meaningless and remains king even after secretly reaching Emperor stage, concentrating political and military authority in himself. (Chapters 593, 603)

His confidence contains both strategy and cruelty. Roone plans recruitment and information control carefully, yet delights in conquest, dismisses Riona's grief as weakness, and expects to reduce the Skadi ruler to a useful subordinate. That mixture makes him eager to advance before fully understanding the coalition opposing him. (Chapters 593, 603–604)

The invasion and Nux's counterattack

On the battlefield, Roone uses threats against Nux's wives to provoke his enemies and initially clashes with Alcimus after Herms injures the Woods ruler. Nux then replaces Alcimus as the coalition's hidden answer to the new Emperor. Roone fights in heavy armor and with a massive sword borrowed from Nawdren; the equipment gives his blows enough force to destroy Nux's swords and makes direct hits potentially lethal, but its weight also lets Nux control the distance. (Chapters 604–607)

Roone responds by spreading his own mana through his body with extreme precision, temporarily overcoming the speed problem. The adjustment pressures Nux until an unexpected Dark Amethyst spike breaks Roone's concentration. His distributed mana runs wild, leaving him unable to use mana and expected to remain so for about a week. The same technique that corrected his gear's weakness therefore becomes the opening for his defeat. (Chapters 608–609)

Nux disables Roone, severs his limbs, and tortures him in front of Herms before beheading him. Roone's campaign ends without the victory he assumed his stage and army guaranteed, while his suffering also destabilizes his father during the larger confrontation. His actual death occurs in Chapter 612. (Chapters 610–612)

An illusion after death

Roone later appears during Lilith's simulated life for Nux. In that constructed scenario he occupies a role inside an altered version of Nux's history, but the figure is an illusionary reconstruction rather than a resurrected Roone or evidence that his Chapter 612 death was reversed. Appearance and personality

Roone has black hair, green eyes, a thin nose, and an attractive face. The battle text emphasizes the bulk of his borrowed armor and sword more than ordinary clothing. One chapter calls him “Roone Skadi,” but the surrounding narrative consistently identifies him as Herms's son Roone Lizander of Solid Earth; the isolated surname is not supported as a separate identity. (Chapters 593, 604–607)

He is proud, impatient, and cruel, taking pleasure in the prospect of conquest and threatening his opponents' families. He is not wholly reckless: he accepts Herms's demand for patience, builds a large conscripted army, locks down information, and remains alert enough to sense Nux's concealed approach. In personal combat he continues assessing danger even while taunting. His failure comes from overestimating the security provided by rank and equipment and from committing a concentration-dependent technique against an opponent with unfamiliar attacks. Abilities and cultivation

Emperor-stage cultivation

Roone has recently advanced to Emperor stage and hides that fact until Solid Earth is ready to act. His Emperor-grade mana perception detects Nux's concealed attempt to behead him, preventing an immediate assassination. He can draw on abundant surrounding mana and wield a heavy sword with enough force to break Nux's replacement blades, though the weapon and armor contribute materially to that output. The corpus does not name an elemental affinity, Law, or formal spell repertoire for him. (Chapters 603–608)

Roone's stage does not make him invulnerable. Nux's speed avoids the sword's lethal arc, and surprise disrupts Roone's control of his own mana. Once that internal control collapses, his superior reserves are inaccessible and he becomes physically helpless. He dies before any recovery or further progression can occur. (Chapters 607–612)

Full-body mana acceleration

To offset his equipment's weight, Roone distributes his personal mana across his entire body and uses it to accelerate his movement. The method is a practiced technique rather than an item effect, and it lets him bring his strength to bear quickly enough to threaten Nux. Its activation demands exact, continuous concentration. When a Dark Amethyst spike startles him, the mana loses its controlled flow and runs wild through his body, preventing further mana use for an estimated week. No safer variant or countermeasure is demonstrated before his death. (Chapters 608–609)

Military coercion

Roone personally subdues independent groups, forces them into Solid Earth's army, and seals the kingdom against information leaks. These actions demonstrate strategic organization backed by overwhelming cultivation, not a supernatural command ability. The resulting numbers cannot compensate for his coalition's incomplete knowledge of Nux and his allies. (Chapter 603)

Relationships

• Herms: Herms is Roone's father, adviser, and fellow architect of Solid Earth's campaign. Roone listens when he urges patience, while Herms's love for his son becomes a battlefield vulnerability when Nux tortures Roone in front of him. (Chapters 593, 603, 610–612)
• Nux: Roone taunts Nux and targets his wives to draw him into battle. Nux exploits the weight and concentration costs of Roone's fighting style, disables him, and ultimately executes him. (Chapters 604–612)
• Alcimus: Roone initially fights Alcimus after Herms creates an opening against the Woods ruler. Nux soon takes Alcimus's place, so their direct contest ends without a separate resolution. (Chapters 604–607)
• Nawdren: Roone borrows Nawdren's heavy armor and sword for the invasion. The gear increases his defense and striking force but creates the mobility problem around which his final duel turns. (Chapters 604–609)

Items

Roone uses an unnamed heavy sword and matching armor borrowed from Nawdren. The armor withstands Nux's ordinary sword strikes, while the larger blade can break Nux's weapons and would be dangerous on a clean hit. Their weight sharply reduces Roone's speed until he activates full-body mana acceleration. No name, star rating, maker, or later disposition is stated. (Chapters 604–609)
