Raguel

Raguel Skyfall is the First Prince of the Skyfall Kingdom and a former Crown Prince whose fear of losing the succession drives him into increasingly violent schemes. Backed by the Fulvanius faction, he attempts to remove his siblings and secure foreign support, only to be outmaneuvered, captured, interrogated, and killed.

Biography

A crown placed in doubt

Raguel initially stands first in the royal succession, but growing noble support for his younger brother Lovis costs him the Crown Prince title and reopens the contest for the throne. By the time he appears directly, servants are already discussing Lovis as the better candidate. Raguel spares the servants rather than punishing their gossip, yet privately panics over how quickly opinion has turned. Unable to learn who is shaping the rumors, he approaches Amaya, a woman he normally avoids because of her supposed curse and information network. When she refuses to sell him answers, his restraint collapses into threats against someone he believes helpless. (Chapters 149 and 404–405)

Amaya exploits his anger by raising the possibility of betraying Ricardus. Raguel refuses to commit openly, but he does not reject the premise on moral grounds and follows her leads concerning the Duke houses. With his grandfather Thornton Fulvanius, he tries to gather support and approaches Lucas, only for Lucas to mock and refuse him. Discovering links among rival factions convinces Raguel and his Fulvanius relatives that normal succession politics are closing around them, and Raguel moves from trying to preserve his claim to considering a coup. (Chapters 405–406 and 412–433)

Assassination, foreign aid, and capture

Raguel agrees to eliminate Lovis, Evane, and Amaya together, adding Evane because her unexpected return makes her another possible claimant. His faction arranges a false letter to draw Lovis into Evane's room and sends assassins against the three targets. The plot fails: Amaya stages her own apparent death, Evane survives, and guards and documentary evidence direct the royal investigation toward Raguel. Even after suspicion falls on him, he continues the struggle rather than surrendering, accepting contact from Riona and pledging a future royal favor in exchange for Skadi support. The supposed alliance is itself a trap designed to expose him. (Chapters 434–451 and 480–488)

Raguel kidnaps Lucas to lure Evane into a second ambush supported by three King Stage cultivators and soldiers. Nux, Evane, and Ember dismantle the force. Raguel begs Evane for mercy, then uses the approach to make a final dagger attack; Evane evades him, and Ember knocks him unconscious. In captivity, Amaya reveals that her curse and helplessness were fabricated and pressures Raguel into admitting that the Skadis contacted him first. Nux later tells Astaria directly that he killed Raguel. Scenes in Chapters 793–795 show an alternate-timeline Raguel created within Allura's reincarnated life, not a return of the main-continuity prince; the “Raguel” in Chapter 2042 is the name of a world, not this character. Appearance and personality

Raguel is a handsome man with black hair, crystal-blue eyes, a well-carved face, and a purple coat. He is more than 120 years old during the succession crisis. His ability to dismiss gossiping servants shows that he can maintain a princely surface, but pressure exposes arrogance, impatience, and a severe fear of losing status. He threatens Amaya when she resists him, underestimates her manipulation, and treats murder as a practical answer once rivals multiply. (Chapters 404–405 and 435)

His courage is similarly conditional. Raguel can pursue conspiracies while protected by his relatives and hired fighters, yet collapses into pleading when those defenses fail. His attempted surprise attack on Evane after begging for mercy shows that desperation does not produce remorse; he still blames her for taking the throne he desired. During interrogation he cooperates only after Amaya promises a less painful death, leaving no evidence of a genuine change before Nux kills him. (Chapters 493–496 and 501)

Abilities and cultivation

Raguel is an Expert Stage mana cultivator by the final succession conflict. The corpus does not identify his affinity, cultivation method, named techniques, or the circumstances of his advancement. His most direct personal attack is a concealed dagger thrust against Evane after pretending to seek reconciliation; she avoids it with a single step, and Ember immediately overpowers him. This demonstrates neither a special dagger art nor an item-derived power. (Chapters 435, 493–494, and 501)

Most of Raguel's threat comes from royal access rather than cultivation. He can coordinate servants, assassins, Fulvanius retainers, and foreign King Stage support, but those are political and borrowed resources, not innate abilities. Once isolated from them, he cannot resist Ember, Nux, or Amaya. A King Stage Raguel appears in Chapters 793–795, but that cultivation belongs to an illusion inside an alternate timeline and is explicitly contradicted there by Astaria's statement that the real local Raguel had not reached that stage. Relationships

• Evane: Raguel first treats Evane as another succession risk, then orders her assassination twice. She refuses his last plea, evades his dagger attack, and supports handing him over for interrogation. (Chapters 417, 434–451, and 488–496)
• Amaya: Amaya profiles and manipulates Raguel from their first conversation, uses his assassination attempt to strengthen Evane's claim, and later extracts the truth about Skadi contact from him. (Chapters 404–406, 434–451, and 496)
• Nux: Nux breaks Raguel's final ambush, participates in his capture, and later confirms that he killed him for threatening Evane. (Chapters 491–501)
• Ricardus: Ricardus is an emotionally absent father whom Raguel considers replacing by coup. Raguel's willingness to contemplate patricide mirrors the violence through which Ricardus himself gained the throne. (Chapters 405–406 and 431–434)
• Lovis and Lucas: Lovis's popularity causes Raguel to lose the Crown Prince title, while Lucas rejects Raguel's alliance proposal. Raguel later targets Lovis for assassination and abducts Lucas as leverage against Evane. (Chapters 149, 420–451, and 488–494)
• Riona: Riona arranges Skadi contact and lets Raguel believe he has gained foreign assistance. The alliance is a controlled betrayal that supplies evidence against him and serves Riona's separate plans. (Chapters 480–488 and 496–506)

Raguel uses an unnamed dagger in his failed surprise attack on Evane. His faction also employs forged letters, royal stamps, and paid assassins, but the corpus does not establish any distinct notable item personally owned by him or any supernatural property in the dagger. Its custody after his capture is not stated. (Chapters 434–451, 480–488, and 493–494)
