Pyrax

Pyrax Burst is the Divine-stage ruler of the One-Eyed Demon State, one of the Demon Continent's five strongest States. He is outspoken in world-leader councils and willing to rely on collective Demon strength against stronger rulers, but recognizes when Nux's rise has made further confrontation suicidal.

Biography

Representing the Demon Continent among Yrniel's rulers

Pyrax first appears at Melia's wedding among Yrniel's highest rulers. When Arcturus threatens him, Pyrax answers in the plural: he knows he cannot match the Dragon Lord alone, but the other four Demon Lords stand behind him because he is representing their continent. His confidence therefore rests on political unity rather than a false belief in personal superiority. (Chapter 969)

He is surprised that Eisheth's daughter is marrying an apparently ordinary Human Emperor and initially questions the interracial match. Nux's Complete Great Sage cultivation and the strength of his wives overturn that assumption during the wedding contests. Pyrax moves from skepticism to direct curiosity, greets Nux after the events, and joins other rulers in recognizing that the entire group is abnormal rather than only its leader. (Chapters 970–990)

Pyrax later observes the Seven Heroes' challenge and helps analyze Nux's Devil identity. He recognizes that an Incubus should not possess another Demon's Physique and participates in discussions when Nux's Devouring Mist and Dark Amethyst resemble the Devil's techniques. His contribution is interpretive; the corpus does not show him fighting in these gatherings. (Chapters 1031–1042 and 1143)

Choosing survival after Nux's return

During Arcturus's campaign against Nux, Pyrax interprets the Dragon Lord's appearance as a warning to any force considering aid and understands that a Dragon–Vampire war could devastate Yrniel. He does not independently intervene, reflecting the same balance of collective responsibility and personal caution that marked his introduction. (Chapter 1184)

Centuries later, Pyrax joins other Demon Lords at Lust State during Azazel's confrontation with Eisheth. The return of Nux's wives as Complete Divine cultivators and Vyriana's presence immediately change the balance. Nux throws the Lords out and warns that another intrusion will cost their heads. Pyrax is the first to reject returning, reasoning from Nux's past victory over Arcturus and effortless suppression of Azazel that provoking him would be fatal. He remains alive at the end of the encounter. (Chapters 1592–1593)

Appearance and personality

Pyrax is 2.1 meters tall, with purple skin and one large eye in the middle of his forehead. The corpus does not specify his hair, clothing, horns, build beyond height, or later physical changes. (Chapter 969)

He is blunt, proud, sociable, and politically aware. He trades insults easily with other rulers and laughs when Arcturus is left speechless, yet accurately distinguishes between strength supported by allies and a fight he cannot win. His final refusal to return to Lust State shows caution overcoming pride. (Chapters 969–990 and 1592–1593)

Abilities and cultivation

Divine-stage One-Eyed Demon cultivation

Pyrax is a Divine-stage One-Eyed Demon and one of Yrniel's world leaders. One-Eyed Demons specialize in pyrokinesis, and their innate ability tends to produce destructive inclinations that shape the formation of Law. This is a source-established racial mechanic, but Pyrax never demonstrates a named flame technique, personal Law, Domain, activation method, range, or energy cost on-page. (Chapters 969 and 1370)

His stage makes him overwhelmingly stronger than ordinary cultivators, but he acknowledges that he cannot defeat Arcturus alone. Later, Nux's Complete Divine wives pressure him and the other Lords, while Nux negates Azazel's aura and expels the group without visible effort. No later cultivation upgrade or representative combat feat establishes Pyrax's exact latest mastery. (Chapters 969, 990, and 1592–1593)

Relationships

  • Nux: Initially an unknown groom whose status Pyrax doubts, then a prodigy he studies and finally a power he refuses to provoke. (Chapters 971–1042 and 1592–1593)
  • Arcturus: A stronger rival ruler with whom Pyrax trades threats and political analysis. Pyrax relies on united Demon backing rather than attempting an individual contest. (Chapters 969, 990, and 1184)
  • Eisheth: A fellow Demon ruler whom Pyrax greets at the wedding and later confronts alongside the other Lords at Lust State. (Chapters 970, 1138, and 1592–1593)

Items

Pyrax participates in events using shared battle and communication artifacts, but no individually cataloged item is assigned to him in the supplied corpus.
