Keeve

Keeve is a King-stage intelligence officer and one of the six leaders of the Skyfall Kingdom's Shadow Unit, later reorganized as the Shadow Legion. He serves successive royal and military authorities as an investigator, messenger, and field assassin.

Biography

Intelligence work under a changing throne

Keeve first reports directly to Ricardus, investigating Allura's unexplained growth and assigning three Experts to follow her after searches and servant interrogations produce no answer. He later joins the response to an anomaly in Solid Earth and treats Amaya's deductions seriously, asking operational questions rather than challenging her authority. When Lovis is assassinated, Keeve corrects an early assumption about Evane, explains that she was the target of six attackers rather than the killer, and escorts the investigation. These assignments establish him as a fact-focused officer whose loyalty is expressed through surveillance and accurate reporting. (Chapters 389, 396, 444–445)

Keeve's service adapts as Astaria's faction takes control. He accompanies Amaya to negotiate with the Woods Dynasty and, although Emperor-stage pressure chokes and frightens him, threatens Alcimus with the consequences of attacking a delegate carrying Astaria's emblem. The intervention helps preserve the talks. Later, when Ricardus mobilizes the six Shadow leaders against Allura, Keeve follows the summons but reads Astaria's signal and helps Reeve remove the disoriented king instead of escalating the confrontation. By his final operation, the Shadow Unit has become the Shadow Legion under Wysten, trusted by Thyra. Keeve helps track and ambush an Emperor as part of a five-person team: he uses a blocked dagger strike as bait, wounds the target when another attacker creates an opening, and helps Wysten complete the kill. A Great Sage then reveals that the mission was a trap. Keeve immediately understands that the warning must reach their commander and refuses to provide information despite the overwhelming difference in stage. He and the other four are tortured into unconsciousness without betraying their faction; after Nux's counterattack, the group is carried to safety through his portals. Appearance and personality

Keeve is a King-stage mana cultivator trained for surveillance, infiltration, and assassination. He can enter secure royal spaces to report, search rooms and question servants without drawing public attention, direct Expert-stage subordinates, and track targets as part of a covert unit.
