Arion

Arion Leonheart is the Lionkin City Lord of Ferocious Leon City and, when Yrniel's rulers gather for the Ceremonial Union Clash, the strongest Beastman publicly identified in the world. He serves chiefly as a blunt but politically attentive voice among the world leaders witnessing the rise of Nux and his family.

Biography

Representing Yrniel's Beastmen

Arion enters the gathering of Yrniel's leaders by trying to stop a confrontation, though his rough temperament quickly shows when he trades insults with Durgan Stonewalker. His concern for Rune's city after its conflict with Skythorn Eagle City also reflects the Beastmen's stated solidarity: he asks whether the dispute has ended peacefully rather than treating it as another faction's problem. (Chapters 969–971)

During the Ceremonial Union Clash, Arion reacts to Nux's exceptionally fast cultivation and to Astaria's ability to cut a Great Sage body cultivator with Sword Aura. He is among the leaders who recognize that the Leander group violates the assumptions on which their political and cultivation order rests, and he is the one who asks what Nux might become after reaching Phase Three. (Chapters 976, 989, and 1037)

When Arcturus later surrounds the arena with Dragons to demand Nux, Arion reads the deployment as a warning to Alaric and to anyone considering intervention. He understands that the threat is not limited to a duel: open conflict between Dragons and Vampires could devastate Yrniel. The corpus does not return to Arion in person after this crisis; a later comparison says Ferocious Leon City has four Divine Stage defenders, but it does not establish his individual fate. (Chapters 1184 and 1264)

Appearance and personality

Arion is a roughly two-meter-tall Lionkin with a leonine appearance. He is direct, impatient with intrigue, and comfortable using crude provocation even among fellow world leaders. That abrasiveness coexists with practical judgment: he tries to defuse needless fighting, checks on another Beastman city, and correctly recognizes the political meaning of Arcturus's show of force. (Chapters 969–974 and 1184)

Abilities and cultivation

Arion is identified as a Divine Stage cultivator and the strongest Beastman in Yrniel at his introduction. Ferocious Leon City is later said to have four Divine Stage cultivators holding it, indicating the depth of the force under his rule. The supplied corpus does not show Arion fighting or name his bloodline grade, Law, Domain, techniques, costs, or limitations. (Chapters 969 and 1264)

Relationships

  • Alaric: Arion joins the other rulers hosted by Alaric and understands that Arcturus's later military display is aimed principally at deterring the Vampire King. (Chapters 969 and 1184)
  • Arcturus: Arion observes the Dragon Lord as both a fellow world leader and a potential cause of continent-wide war. (Chapters 969–970 and 1184)
  • Nux: Nux's progress repeatedly shocks Arion and forces him to reconsider what a Great Sage or future Phase Three cultivator can achieve. (Chapters 976, 1032, and 1037)
  • Rune: Arion treats Rune as Oberon's successor and asks after the welfare of her Beastman city. (Chapter 971)
