Heartstriker: Bow of the Forest
Heartstriker: Bow of the Forest is a Unique longbow prepared for Lux by Colette's father and delivered by Colette. Lux assigns it to Ishtar, whose precision-oriented ranged role can exploit its heart-shot damage multiplier.
History
A gift placed in Ishtar's hands
Colette presents Heartstriker to Lux as a gift her father prepared, and Lux appraises it with the Elysium Compendium. Rather than keeping the Dexterity-dependent bow for himself, he equips it on Ishtar, whose statistics immediately list its full attack contribution. The transfer turns a personal gift into a weapon for one of Lux's named creatures without any indication that Colette objects to its use. (Chapters 65, 67)
Precision in the Orc campaign
Heartstriker remains in Ishtar's equipment as she grows to A Rating, preserving its +160 upper-end attack contribution within her larger arsenal. Against Oreg, she repeatedly aims for the heart in an attempt to activate the bow's passive effect. Morgazar lands the final shot first, so the scene illustrates the intended application but does not establish that Ishtar actually triggered the doubling effect on that target. (Chapters 107, 111)
Abilities and properties
- Deals 125–160 damage, requires 80 Dexterity, and increases ranged attack damage by 20%. (Chapter 65)
- Shot to the Heart doubles damage when an attack strikes the target's heart area. It applies to both ordinary and skill-based attacks. (Chapter 65)
- The passive depends on accurate anatomical placement; merely firing at a target does not guarantee activation, and the corpus does not say how it behaves against creatures without a conventional heart. (Chapters 65, 111)
- Functions alongside Ishtar's own ammunition and archery skills rather than replacing them. Her equipment record attributes up to +160 attack to Heartstriker. (Chapters 67, 107)
