Blackrock Legacy Armor Set
The Blackrock Legacy Armor Set is the ancestral armor of the Blackrock Clan's first Orc Chieftain. A version worn by Orobak introduces its blood-and-death affinity, while Lux later receives a soulbound set whose command-wide buffs make Diablo increasingly dangerous as casualties accumulate.
History
A contested Blackrock inheritance
Barca identifies the black armor covering Orobak as the set that belonged to his grandfather. Orobak's possession turns the heirloom into part of their dispute over the clan, and its ability to absorb the power of blood and death helps him overwhelm Barca. After the hidden Orc Dominion mission, Lux receives the armor as his largest treasure-chest reward and recognizes it as the same formidable equipment he had just faced. (Chapters 112, 118)
Diablo's battlefield armor
Although the reward is bound to Lux, its rules permit any creature under his command to equip it, and Diablo becomes its regular wearer. Bloody Fervor draws in battlefield blood and converts every slain creature into additional attack and defense; in one battle, 2,535 deaths produce bonuses of 12,675 to each. The effect also counts Lux's repeatedly summoned skeletons, while the set's Warcry and Presence strengthen Diablo's allies as well as its wearer. (Chapters 137, 146, 204, 263)
Abilities and properties
- Requires 100 in every statistic and grants +50 to all statistics, +400 Defense, and a 30% reduction to physical and magical damage. (Chapter 118)
- Warlord's Warcry adds 200 points to the physical and magical damage of allied creatures, while Warlord's Presence raises the wearer's and allies' physical and magical attack by 10%. (Chapters 118, 263)
- Bloody Fervor adds five attack and five defense for every creature slain on the battlefield. Its practical ceiling therefore depends on the number of deaths, and its gains can become enormous in a mass battle. (Chapters 118, 204)
- Auto-Fit and Indestructible are listed passive properties. The armor is bound to Lux, but any creature under his command can wear it; this restriction explains Diablo's lawful use without transferring ownership. (Chapter 118)
