Maple

Maple is one of the pink-haired twin daughters of William and Chiffon and the sister of Cinnamon. She and Cinnamon guide Lux across worlds so he can meet Thirteen, while obeying rules that prevent them from solving that world’s crisis for him.

Biography

The Lionheart Tournament and the Hidden Domain

Maple does not appear as a character in the chapters assigned to this early arc. “Maple” in Chapters 328–329 is part of the place-name Maple Forest, where Lux searches for a Passion Blossom and battles Living Armor; no girl, twin, traveler, or member of William’s family is present. Treating those location mentions as biography would create a false chronology more than eight hundred chapters before Maple’s actual introduction. Her first supported appearance is therefore Chapter 1178, not the Maple Forest sequence. (Chapters 328–329, 1178)

The rescue from the Abyss and the final war

Lux meets Maple and Cinnamon at their ninth birthday celebration in Hestia, where their affection for family and “Uncle Kazo” establishes them as cheerful, well-connected children rather than residents of Elysium. Later, Lily asks the twins to escort Lux into Thirteen’s world. Maple opens a red portal with Cinnamon, warns Lux not to stray in time and space, gives the injured Thirteen limited aid, and prevents Lux from interfering when that world’s laws would punish the boy for outside help. The twins instead observe Thirteen’s struggle and remain beside Lux as the return passage drops them toward the interworld Abyss. (Chapters 1178, 1195–1198)

Appearance and personality

Maple is a beautiful nine-year-old girl with short pink hair and an identical-looking twin, Cinnamon. She is affectionate, food-motivated, guilelessly repeats adult remarks she does not understand, and warmly calls older companions her siblings or uncles. Her childish humor coexists with real caution during dimensional travel: she repeats safety instructions, worries about Thirteen, and accepts painful noninterference because she understands that helping beyond the permitted limit would worsen his punishment. Abilities and skills

Maple and Cinnamon can jointly create a red portal that crosses worlds and traverses time and space; travelers must stay close or risk becoming lost. Maple can fly or otherwise move beside Lux through the interworld Abyss and carries restorative potions for Thirteen. These abilities operate under higher divine laws: in Thirteen’s world, outside assistance is suppressed, Lux’s voice and strength are restricted, and the twins can offer only limited healing without provoking the “scary person” controlling his ordeal. The corpus does not separate which twin supplies what share of the portal, name the technique, or show Maple using an offensive spell.
