King Victor

Victor Goldenslayer is the Saint-ranked founder of the Xeno Kingdom, later styled Emperor as its territory expands. Fiercely protective of both his new state and his daughters, he moves from resisting Aina's engagement to Lux toward accepting Lux as family and relying on him as an ally.

Biography

The Divine Army reckoning

Victor cuts ties with the Dwarven Royal Family after his cousin seeks to use or seize the Xeno Kingdom, preferring to defend the realm he built himself. As its only Saint, he takes flight against a Calamity-ranked Roc during a Beast Tide but cannot match the World Boss alone. Lux's intervention saves the kingdom, leaving Victor grateful yet wary of the Half-Elf whom Colette promotes as Aina's husband (Chapters 958–961).

His resistance becomes personal when Aina chooses Lux and reveals their physical relationship. Victor wants royal marriages to stabilize his young state, but Felicia insists on respecting their daughter's decision and points to Lux's potential. At the Divine Empire, Victor initially expects Lux to die, then witnesses the scale of his forces and accepts that antagonizing him would endanger both family and kingdom (Chapters 965–984, 1002).

That reluctant trust is tested when Beast-Empire Saints kidnap Aina and Colette. Outnumbered, Victor and Felicia fight but lose their daughters; Victor immediately seeks Lux's companions, confident Lux will enter the trap to rescue them. Lux's retaliation subjugates the neighboring kingdoms and turns Xeno into an empire, forcing Victor to recognize that his future son-in-law has secured the state more decisively than a conventional alliance could (Chapters 1013, 1023).

Open Heaven’s Gate

By the later war Victor is called Emperor and remains with his people while allowing his family to evacuate to Espoir Frieden; he also raises an army for the Alliance. After peace, he joins Lux and the other fathers on a fishing trip, then escorts both Aina and Luna down the aisle. Treating Luna as family marks his final transition from dynastic gatekeeper to an accepting father within Lux's expanded household (Chapters 1154, 1226, 1232).

Appearance and personality

Victor is a Dwarf and a hovering, flight-capable Saint whose royal bearing makes him sensitive to casual treatment. He is proud, territorial, practical, and deeply protective of his children, often expressing that care through suspicion and anger. He can adapt quickly when circumstances overturn his assumptions, and his eventual acceptance of Lux and Luna shows that family loyalty ultimately outweighs his earlier fixation on royal status (Chapters 958, 961, 965–966, 1232).

Saintly abilities

Victor can fly and fight as a Saint, taking on aerial monsters during the Xeno Beast Tide and helping clear Giant Eagles and Rocs. His rank gives him enough presence to protect a small realm and sense approaching hostile Saints, but the corpus does not name a personal spell or signature weapon. His demonstrated combat is direct aerial engagement rather than a documented specialized system (Chapters 958–960, 1013).

His limits are explicit. A Calamity-ranked World Boss slaps him away, and the wind around its clash prevents him from supporting Avernus at close range. Eight hostile Saints later overwhelm Victor and Felicia's defense and abduct their daughters. Victor's effectiveness as ruler therefore depends on alliances, armies, and strategic retreat as much as his individual Saint rank (Chapters 959–960, 1013, 1154).

Relationships

• Aina: Victor loves Aina but initially tries to reserve her for a politically suitable husband. He ultimately respects her choice and escorts her at the wedding (Chapters 961, 965–966, 1232).
• Colette: He openly spoils Colette and trusts her reports about Lux only gradually; her kidnapping helps cement his reliance on Lux (Chapters 958, 1002, 1013).
• Lux: Victor progresses from wary gratitude through hostility and fear to familial acceptance, recognizing Lux as both rescuer and stabilizing power (Chapters 961–984, 1023, 1226).
• Queen Felicia: Felicia is Victor's level-headed partner and the acknowledged final authority in family decisions; he comes to follow her judgment about Lux (Chapters 965–966, 984).
• Luna: Victor considers Luna part of the Goldenslayer family and escorts her beside Aina at the wedding (Chapter 1232).
