Emma
Emma Hewitt is a Dwarf adventurer from Oakwood who becomes a Perfect Lycan, Lux’s secretary, and one of Heaven’s Gate’s principal administrators. Her choice to accept controlled therianthrope power begins as a search for strength and grows into long-term responsibility for the guild and its people.
Biography
Awakening and Leaf Village
Twilight Rain’s experiments leave Emma trapped as an Alpha Lycan until Lux’s group restores her Dwarf form. Rather than reject that power, the wandering brawler voluntarily accepts perfected Lycan genes because she wants the strength to protect others and trusts Lux’s assurances that the stable transformation has no corrupting side effects. She insists on serving him, first as bodyguard and then as secretary, mapping guild deployments and applying her knowledge of Whitebridge. Her decision converts victimhood into agency and gives the young Heaven’s Gate guild both a capable fighter and an organized administrator. (Chapters 187–189, 202)
Open Heaven’s Gate
Emma matures into an Initiate and remains central to Heaven’s Gate’s daily operation, coordinating shops, construction, defenses, and deployments with Great General Garret while Lux campaigns elsewhere. During an early teleport-gate mission connected to the invasion, she and Cethus begin a private relationship. When it becomes public after the war, Emma refuses to be embarrassed or dissuaded and openly affirms her choice. She later accompanies the gathering for Lux’s wedding, alive in the peace her administrative labor and combat service helped sustain. (Chapters 531, 750, 886, 1045, 1229, 1234)
Appearance and personality
In Dwarf form Emma is a pretty young woman around Lux’s age with dark-brown hair. Her transformed appearance is a much larger humanoid wolf with sharp claws, while her clothing and equipment remain intact through the change. Direct, self-reliant, and accustomed to wandering, she readily chooses risk for useful strength. Her later work reveals patience and organizational discipline, and her response to questions about Cethus shows the same refusal to let others define her decisions. (Chapters 187–189, 202, 1229)
Perfect Lycan abilities
Controlled transformation
Emma can transform at will into a Perfect Lycan without the involuntary madness and degradation caused by Twilight Rain’s flawed experiments. The change raises her effective combat rank by one stage, initially moving her from Grade B to Grade A, and enhances strength, speed, resistance, hearing, and natural claws. She can communicate telepathically while transformed, and her gauntlet-based attacks still apply through the form. The increase is substantial but finite rather than an unrestricted rank bypass. (Chapters 187–189)
Brawling and later development
Emma is a close-range brawler whose steel-hard claws and augmented body let her tear into armored enemies and survive exchanges beyond an ordinary Dwarf of her base rank. By the time she reaches the Initiate Rank, a full transformation again sharply increases her physical speed and fighting power. That dependence on melee remains a tactical limit: she must close distance, and nothing shows her overpowering Saints or Demigods. Her latest role also divides her attention between combat readiness and the administrative work that keeps Heaven’s Gate functioning. (Chapters 189, 531, 750, 1045)
