Meteoric Tear

The Meteoric Tear carried by Qin Yu is one of the paired Soul Tears of Life created from Zuo Qiumei's energy, soul, and comprehension of the spatial laws. Its early role is as Qin Yu's hidden source of healing and bodily transformation; its complete purpose is fulfilled only when it reunites with the matching tear carried by Jiang Li.

History

Acquisition, use, and later custody

After a red meteor descends, Qin Yu finds a blood-red, tear-shaped crystal in the western garden and names it the Meteoric Tear. When he holds it to his chest, it enters his body and fuses with him. Its clear streams repeatedly repair the damage caused by his extreme external training, while its accelerated absorption of natural energy helps strengthen his channels and body. It later heals severe injuries, nourishes his soul, and assists the soul transformations that accompany his cultivation. (Chapters 23–396)

The apparent permanence of that fusion is not the item's final fate. During his wedding night with Jiang Li, Qin Yu moves his tear from his own Nascent Soul into hers. Jiang Li already bears the matching Soul Tear of Life; during their dual training, the two tears merge with her Nascent Soul and pass on Zuo Qiumei's memories, energy, and spatial-law comprehension. Jiang Li thereby succeeds Zuo Qiumei as the Godking of Life, while Qin Yu no longer carries a Meteoric Tear. (Chapters 582, 608–618, 639)

Abilities and properties

• Emits life elemental energy that repairs bodily damage, supports recovery, nourishes the soul, and helps Qin Yu survive training that tears his channels and muscles. The Tear accelerates his access to natural energy, but it does not eliminate the pain or danger of overloading his body. (Chapters 28–32, 396, 578)
• The paired tears create a special soul-level resonance between their bearers, allowing Qin Yu to sense Jiang Li under conditions where ordinary perception fails. (Chapter 582)
• The complete inheritance requires both tears. Only after Qin Yu transfers his tear to Jiang Li and the pair fuses does Zuo Qiumei's full legacy—including her memories and spatial-law comprehension—pass to Jiang Li. The individual tear is therefore not an all-purpose grant of those abilities. (Chapters 608–618)
