Mahos
Mahos, the Warhorse of the Eternal Plains, is a constellation associated with war and dueling. Mahos acts mainly through quests, blessings, and martial apostles, pursuing victory and retaliation for defeated followers but also accepting proven strength when Kim Gong-ja overcomes the constellation's tests.
Biography
From defeated apostles to the Grand Campaign
Mahos is first mentioned through an apostle who tried to win Raviel Ivansia by following a strategy guide and was killed. Another apostle later invades her world with a spectral army and a battlefield blessing, only to die in the ensuing conflict. Mahos responds to the loss of a follower by issuing a hunt for Gong-ja and offering a blessing to whoever captures or kills him. When another apostle tests Gong-ja directly and loses, however, Mahos accepts the result, recognizes him as a temporary follower, and shares the main quest instead of falsifying the defeat. (Chapters 97, 104–116, and 288–300)
That reversal makes Mahos one of the patrons of the Anti-Magic Tower campaign. The constellation gathers followers, declares war, orders the advance, and lets Gong-ja decide the treatment of prisoners even when an apostle argues for massacre. Mahos acknowledges completion of the campaign quest and later continues offering affiliation rather than renewing the vendetta. The supplied corpus leaves Mahos alive and active, including occasional administration of the Steel Age in other Towers. (Chapters 301–313, 324, and 384)
Appearance and personality
Mahos does not manifest a confirmed personal body in the supplied chapters. The pegasus-riding general with a banner and the other armored combatants are apostles, not appearances of the constellation itself. Through messages and followers, Mahos is combative, proud, revenge-minded, and invested in battlefield honor, yet capable of recognizing a clean loss and adjusting allegiance accordingly. (Chapters 113–116, 288–300, and 304)
Abilities and skills
Mahos issues war quests, coordinates followers, grants apostolic power, and governs domains identified as war and dueling. One apostle establishes Sanctuary Battlefield, fixing a large summoned army at its prime fighting ability while the blessing persists. The army and territorial effect disappear when that apostle dies, showing that Mahos's power can depend on an empowered intermediary rather than remaining permanently present. (Chapters 113–116 and 288–300)
Other characters claim that Mahos can spread death-defying battle fervor, impart tactical insight, and in rare circumstances prohibit conflict. Those broader applications are reported assessments rather than directly demonstrated feats. The Grand Campaign also shows a practical limit: Mahos's followers can organize and inspire a large uprising, but their individual aura and skill may still be outclassed by stronger opponents. (Chapters 113, 288–313)
