Ryongryong

Ryongryong is an ancient Dragon and one of Kang Woojin's largest undead Familiars. Once a drake-like flying companion, it returns after Woojin reaches the requirement for summoning a Bone Dragon. Its enormous skeletal body supplies crushing force but cannot initially fly; a later combination with Dolsae's blood form restores flesh-like wings and allows Ryongryong to fulfill its oldest desire. Biography

From drake familiar to dragon

Ryongryong remains sealed after Woojin's return to Earth because the Bone Dragon requires level ninety. When finally restored on Alphen, the ancient creature overwhelms powerful enemies with its claws, jaws, mass, and deceptive timing, yet its bony wings flap uselessly. It is described as the first Dragon and has lived so long under the curse of forgetfulness that it cannot remember its original name. Dolsae's Golem Heart and blood body then wrap its skeleton, forming functional wings and a Blood Dragon body that lets Ryongryong fly, kill Ibrit in aerial combat, and carry Alandal personnel. During the final defense of Earth, repeated damage and the absence of Woojin leave Ryongryong expensive to regenerate and eventually broken on Alandal's deck. It nevertheless rises for one last attack. Hong Sunggoo enters its body as fire, while Jaenis and the Death Knights donate their remaining magical energy to repair it. Ryongryong takes flight, declares itself alive, and fires a final Dragon's Breath against Black Armor. The attack does not defeat the enemy, and the text does not separately state whether Ryongryong survives, disperses, or remains summonable afterward. (Chapters 89–91, 93)

Appearance and personality

In its restored form, Ryongryong is an abnormally large Bone Dragon with sand-colored bones, a long neck, enormous claws and jaws, and skeletal wings that initially cannot provide flight. Its body can occupy an entire Wyvern nest. When Dolsae's Golem Heart pumps blood through the ribcage, a blood-made covering and powerful wings transform the skeleton into the foul-smelling Blood Dragon, while its eyes remain visibly red. Ryongryong is proud, predatory, stubborn, and occasionally playful in battle. It preens, pretends to lose interest before ambushing an opponent, eats defeated enemies, and refuses to release Ibrit even while being dragged through the air. Beneath that ferocity is a deeply personal longing: after millennia without flight or memory, it wants not resurrection for its own sake but one more experience of wings, breath, and being alive. Abilities and class

Ryongryong is a Bone Dragon Familiar whose vast undead body is maintained by Woojin's necromantic energy. Its principal strengths are mass, durability, jaws, claws, and regeneration. It can pin a living Dragon's head and crush it, survive the uncontrolled release of a nearby Breath, and decapitate strong enemies. The same scale is a limitation: severe damage consumes considerable magical energy to repair, and without Woojin or Colony energy the skeleton can remain broken. (Chapters 83–84, 87, 89–91, 93)

Its skeletal wings cannot fly by themselves. Combined with Dolsae's Golem Heart and blood covering, however, Ryongryong gains functional wings, much faster aerial movement, and enough control to wrestle Ibrit in the sky. Its final Dragon's Breath requires further external power from Sunggoo, Jaenis, and the Death Knights, so the scene demonstrates a coalition technique rather than an ordinary attack Ryongryong can freely repeat. Relationships

• Kang Woojin: Woojin seals, summons, directs, and regenerates Ryongryong as one of his heaviest Familiars. He remembers its unstable earlier flight and later uses the restored Dragon against Alphen's strongest enemies. (Chapters 16, 51, 53, 58, 76–84, 87–91)
• Dolsae: Dolsae's Golem Heart and blood form wrap Ryongryong's skeleton, supplying the body and wings that turn it into the Blood Dragon. Their combination gives both Familiars capabilities neither demonstrates alone. (Chapters 88–89, 93)
• Hong Sunggoo: Ryongryong recognizes a draconic scent in Sunggoo and asks his wish. Sunggoo becomes the fire used for the Dragon's last Breath against Black Armor. (Chapter 93)
• Bibi: Bibi remembers Ryongryong from before the sealing and is expected to greet it affectionately. Woojin later assigns Bibi, Dolsae, and Ryongryong to hunt Dimensional Lords together. (Chapters 16, 65, 83, 89)

The scoped inventory assigns Ryongryong no individually notable generated artifact. Dolsae's Golem Heart is temporarily nested in its ribcage as part of the Blood Dragon combination, but it remains Dolsae's core rather than Ryongryong's personal possession. (Chapters 88–89, 93)
