Lee Soolgi

Lee Soolgi is Do Jaemin's school friend and love interest, later an idol in the group Hot Girls. Her relationship with Jaemin persists through his transformation into an Awakened and Vampire, while her debut places her among the civilians caught in a catastrophic Dungeon Break. (Chapters 6, 26, and 62–65)

Biography

Jaemin and the civilian cost of the Breaks

Soolgi openly pursues Do Jaemin at school despite his attempts to prioritize studying and avoid another student's jealousy. When SW Agency accepts her as a trainee, she seeks a response more personal than congratulations and, frustrated by Jaemin's emotional retreat, kisses him before promising that he will regret letting her go. She later debuts with Hot Girls, fulfilling that ambition while Jaemin watches from a distance because his new vampiric identity makes him fear approaching her. (Chapters 6, 26, 30, and 62)

Their reunion comes during a Dungeon Break at the broadcasting station. Soolgi remembers evacuation training, urges the frightened performers into the hallway, and consoles her younger group members until Jaemin finds them. Trapped with wounded Jaemin and other survivors, she offers her blood for his recovery; when he refuses out of shame and fear, the approach of another monster makes her press her wrist into his mouth. She becomes faint but hugs him when he recoils in horror, accepting the person who saved her rather than treating his transformation as monstrous. (Chapters 63–64)

After Bibi and Dolsae arrive, Soolgi leaves the station alongside Jaemin and the remaining civilians. Jaemin subsequently takes her to Alandal's evacuation shelter before returning to the battle. The corpus does not show whether the bite causes any lasting medical or supernatural change, and Jaemin explicitly believed he could drink a limited amount without turning her into a thrall; Soolgi's latest confirmed condition is therefore that of a living civilian survivor, not a vampire. (Chapters 64–65)

Appearance and personality

Soolgi is described as beautiful and slim, becoming still thinner by the time she performs in a stage costume after her debut. She is cheerful and teasing with Jaemin but also direct about her feelings, quick-tempered when someone mistreats him, and compassionate under pressure. At the station she suppresses her own fear to comfort younger idols, offers blood to a wounded friend, and responds to his shame with an embrace. (Chapters 6, 26, and 62–64)

Abilities and class

Soolgi is not identified as an Awakened and demonstrates no supernatural class or combat ability. Her relevant skills are civilian ones: singing and dancing as a debuting idol, knowledge of school evacuation procedure, and enough composure to direct and comfort frightened performers during a Break. These actions help the group move and remain organized, but she still depends on Jaemin, Bibi, and Dolsae for physical protection from monsters. (Chapters 62–64)

Her blood accelerates Jaemin's vampiric recovery when he drinks it, but this is a property of his Vampire physiology rather than an ability belonging to Soolgi. The text does not establish that she becomes a thrall or acquires any powers from the bite. (Chapter 64)

Relationships

  • Do Jaemin: Soolgi pursues Jaemin from school through her debut. She trusts him during the Break, gives him blood despite his self-loathing, and reassures him after he bites her.
  • Bibi: Bibi arrives as part of Soolgi's rescue force and leads her, Jaemin, and the other survivors out of the station.
  • Dolsae: Dolsae fights beside Bibi during the rescue, but Soolgi has no separately developed personal bond with the golem in the supplied scenes.
