Wu Qiu

Wu Qiu is the Northern under-secretary responsible for combat operations aboard Tyrannosaurus. He initially serves as a courteous liaison to Lan Jue's scouting party, but later incapacitates Admiral Kang Hui and attempts to lure Skyfire Avenue's Paragons into a Northern trap.

Biography

Liaison to the Eastern scouts

Wu Qiu enters the hangar after Ling Ya's reception escalates into a fight, neutralizes the two combatants' attacks, apologizes to Lan Jue, and escorts him to Kang Hui. He assesses Lan Jue as unusually restrained for a young champion and joins the reconnaissance aboard Zeus-1. During the mission he operates the Northern communications equipment, relays observations and warnings, and promptly reports the alien planet's trap after the hidden Paragons teleport the scouts to safety. He then helps locate Kang Hui aboard the stricken Tyrannosaurus. (Chapters 670–683)

After the Northern defeat, Wu urges Kang Hui to exploit the isolated Avenue leadership by forcing its defection or destroying it. Kang Hui refuses to betray allies who saved his ship, so Wu incapacitates the exhausted admiral, overawes his guards, and orders Ling Ya to summon Zeus-1 back. The Avenue leaders recognize the risk and do not return. A later scene refers to Wu's actions as mutinous and shows Kang Hui ashamed of the damage they caused, but the corpus never records Wu's arrest, death, or subsequent position. (Chapters 697, 707)

Appearance and personality

Wu Qiu is a middle-aged man in his forties with short blond hair, bronzed ruddy skin, and intelligent eyes. He presents himself as professional, observant, and conciliatory, adapts quickly to evidence during reconnaissance, and carries out communications under pressure. His final decision reveals a ruthless institutional loyalty: he values strategic harm to Skyfire Avenue and Kang Hui's political survival above the admiral's orders or the alliance formed in battle. Suppression and distortion

Wu releases a wave of invisible power that warps reality and dissolves both Ling Ya's Dazzling Ice Lotus and Su Xiaosu's holy-light attack. The feat shows strength sufficient to interrupt two ninth-level adepts, but the corpus does not name his Discipline or give his exact rank. (Chapter 670)

He is later described as the strongest Adept aboard Tyrannosaurus. His aura is enough to stop Kang Hui's guards, and he incapacitates the exhausted admiral with a close-range downward gesture. These actions establish potency and surprise, not equivalence to a Paragon; the narration explicitly says he would amount to little against an Avenue Paragon. (Chapter 697)

Relationships

• Kang Hui: Wu serves as Kang Hui's combat secretary and initially protects and advises him. He ultimately overrides the admiral's refusal to attack allies and incapacitates him in an act later called mutiny. (Chapters 670–697, 707)
• Lan Jue: Wu studies Lan Jue during the scouting mission and comes to respect his intelligence, then tries to draw him and the Avenue Paragons back into Northern control. (Chapters 670–683, 697)
• Ling Ya: Wu supervises Ling Ya, stops her duel from damaging Tyrannosaurus, and later coerces her into transmitting his order after subduing Kang Hui. (Chapters 670–672, 697)
• Su Xiaosu: Wu observes Xiaosu's piloting and Discipline with growing respect and interrupts her fight with Ling before either can release a destructive finishing attack. (Chapters 670, 673–676)
