Windbreaker

Windbreaker is the concealed pilot identity of Wendy, the Skyfire Avenue Seamstress. Publicly presented as a male Master of Air, she is the Star Alliance's twelfth-ranked pilot and a specialist chosen to counter Lan Qing's wind-based Prometheus.

Biography

Star Alliance pilot

Windbreaker joins Deimos' Star Alliance for its DreamNet confrontation with the Divine Monarchs, piloting the air-specialized Skyshade. Her combination of piloting and Discipline makes her stronger than several teammates and allows her to contest both Zeus and Prometheus, but Thor escapes her sacrificial grapple by cutting off its own feet and destroys her suit. In the next battle, Prometheus' greater command of wind traps her in cyclones despite her intended role as his counter. After the exhibition, Windbreaker removes the bulky male disguise and reveals herself to Lan Jue as Wendy, the Seamstress. (Chapters 272–289)

The identity remains part of Wendy's private history rather than a separate continuing persona. She later socializes with the Skyfire Avenue Paragons under her ordinary name, and the final Windbreaker-related update identifies her as the Gourmet's wife and says he is going to meet her. This confirms she is alive at that point but provides no later activity or fate. (Chapters 325, 582)

Appearance and personality

As Windbreaker, Wendy uses a large, robust male body and mask, leading allies and spectators to assume the pilot is a man. Removing the disguise reveals a thin, curvaceous woman with a smiling face. Her ordinary manner as the Seamstress is gentle and soft-spoken, while her combat persona is calm, tactical, and willing to trade her own simulated destruction to remove a more dangerous opponent. Air mastery

Windbreaker's Discipline controls air and is integrated with Skyshade's aerodynamics. She compresses atmosphere into crushing fields, bends light through Atmospheric Refraction to conceal herself, releases wide Airbursts, and can disperse ordinary vacuity or wind effects. This combination makes her a God-ranked specialist rather than merely a fast flying pilot. (Chapters 272, 277, 282, 286)

Her control is not absolute. Thor's superior direct combat and willingness to damage itself defeat her compression trap, while Prometheus' wind behaves with a depth and will that she cannot disperse. Those losses establish a clear gap between specialized countermeasures and the Divine Monarchs' highest mastery. (Chapters 282, 286)

• Seamstress: Windbreaker is not a separate person but the Seamstress's concealed DreamNet identity. (Chapters 289, 325, 582)
• Gourmet: Wendy is the Gourmet's wife. Her hidden career contrasts with her quiet Avenue persona, but the corpus gives little direct detail about their marriage. (Chapter 582)
