Hua Qianhu
Hua Qianhu is Lir University’s sniper specialist in its DreamNet exchange with National Eastern University. He is the second-strongest of Lir’s three selected student pilots and has already attempted the Sovereign-grade examination, failing only for lack of experience.
Biography
Two victories and a reversal
Hua opens the exchange by calmly waiting out Geng Yang’s approach and firing into the instant his opponent’s movement falters. He then defeats Tang Mi at close range, kicking the simulated wreck afterward in a deliberately provocative display. Against Tang Xiao, that confidence becomes a liability: Hua assumes the heavy-looking suit cannot absorb his electron-cannon shot, and Tang Xiao drives through the blast to destroy the sniper mecha by collision. The destruction and later references occur inside DreamNet and do not mean Hua dies. (Chapters 180–185)
Appearance and personality
Outside the simulation, Hua has a medium build and handsome features. His mecha is slender and agile, with a large electron cannon, secondary leg-mounted barrels, and a defensive shield. The text briefly renders his name inconsistently after the loss, but the competitor introduced and followed through the exchange is Hua Qianhu. (Chapters 180–183)
Hua is patient and controlled while setting a sniper’s kill zone, but smug once he believes an opponent is trapped. He wants a strong showing to bring Lir prestige and resources and to improve his own prospects before graduation. His unnecessary strike against Tang Mi’s wreck and thoughts of humiliating Tang Xiao show that ambition can become cruelty and overconfidence. (Chapters 180–182)
Disciplines and abilities
Sniper piloting
Hua excels at manual targeting under magnetic disruption, reading approach patterns, and withholding fire until a high-probability shot appears. His electron cannon can end a simulated fight with one cockpit hit, while secondary lasers punish predictable evasive routes. He can keep the upper body aimed while moving the mecha away from danger. (Chapters 180–182)
Limits
He is near Sovereign grade rather than a confirmed Sovereign pilot. The electron cannon has a poor firing rate and high energy demand, and Hua’s build is vulnerable once a durable enemy passes the kill zone. Surprise at Tang Xiao’s shield and acceleration costs him the time needed to adapt. The corpus does not identify a personal Adept Discipline for him. (Chapters 180–183)
