Su He

Su He is a Lir University instructor, prominent Eastern scientist, student of the Bookworm, and an old classmate of Lan Jue. Initially a Sovereign-ranked pilot approaching God rank, he later completes that advancement and commands Lir's defense during the alien invasion. His career combines research, instruction, Adept power, and battlefield leadership without making him invulnerable: his decisive stand succeeds because Star Division arrives before his damaged conventional mecha and exhausted defenders are overwhelmed. (Chapters 183–208 and 660–664)

Biography

From university exchange to Lir's defense

Su He comes to National Eastern University with Lir's exchange delegation and treats the contests as lessons rather than matters of pride. When his students lose, he tells Xiao Han to accept humiliation as a gift that can drive improvement. Su He then challenges the Eastern instructors and pilots against Tan Lingyun, unaware that Lan Jue is controlling her mecha. His defeat reveals Lan Jue's God-ranked skill and renews their old friendship. During the same visit, Su He accompanies the Bookworm and helps create the circumstances in which his teacher and the Keeper reconcile. (Chapters 183–208)

When aliens attack Lir University, Su He directs roughly three hundred mechas, organizes resistance around the school, and protects the civilian evacuation. By then he is a God-ranked pilot and can execute the doppelganger maneuver, but his yellow mecha is not god-tier. Acid damage and depleted energy force him to eject, and he resolves to continue fighting on foot rather than abandon the university. Star Division's arrival saves the defenders; Su He thanks Lan Jue and remains with Lir's leadership after the immediate battle. (Chapters 660–664)

Appearance and personality

Su He is about thirty-three during the university exchange but looks younger. His controlled expression and measured speech suit both a researcher and an instructor. He is demanding without treating defeat as disgrace: he expects students to study why they lost, and his own response to Lan Jue's superiority is respect rather than resentment. (Chapters 183–197)

His conduct during the invasion confirms the responsibility behind that calm manner. Su He feels despair when Lir's line begins to fail, yet deliberately suppresses it so the students can continue. He spends his mecha and accepts personal danger to preserve the evacuation rather than using his authority to escape. (Chapters 660–662)

Disciplines and abilities

Su He's Discipline is Energy Detonation. He forms red energy orbs and releases explosive bursts, with greater immediate force than Ke'er's comparable power but less sustained output. He can also shield himself and use controlled force without automatically killing a creature, as when he initially frightens away a sea animal. The corpus does not state a formal Adept rank for him. (Chapters 198–205)

As a young academician and recognized scientist, Su He is also one of the East's notable researchers. In mecha combat he begins as a Sovereign-ranked pilot with hand speed measured at forty-six operations and is explicitly God-ranked by the defense of Lir. God rank lets him perform doppelganger movements, but it does not upgrade his machine: limited ammunition, energy depletion, and acid damage still end his sortie. (Chapters 190–192 and 660–661)
