An Liu

An Liu is the officer responsible for security at Skyfire Avenue. She also helps keep Zeus' Jewelry Store operating during Lan Jue's extended absences and oversees access control during gatherings of the Avenue's most powerful guests.

Biography

Guarding Skyfire Avenue

An Liu first appears around Zeus' Jewelry Store, where she deals with Lan Jue and his employees before her official position is fully stated. As captain of the guard, she later confronts an unknown visitor who has disrupted the Avenue with his Discipline, verifies that no rule was technically broken, and subjects him to a test before entry. After learning the visitor is Lan Qing, she keeps his identity private and brings the Wine Master to handle his request. When the Astral Phantom attacks, Lan Qing pulls her out of the assassin's path before she can intervene herself. (Chapters 59–61, 93–95)

During Lan Jue's later absence, An Liu helps Ke'er manage the busy Jewelry Store while continuing her security duties. She commands the guards protecting the Avenue during a Paragon breakthrough and later directs the invitation checks and searches for the vital-crystal auction. Her last personal scenes remain within that security assignment, where she watches Lan Qing defeat the Astral Phantom and reacts unhappily when he leaves; no later service or fate is shown. Appearance and personality

An Liu is a pretty young woman whose usual expression and gaze are cold. On formal security duty she wears a bright silver flight suit and scans guests with unyielding attention. She is strict, direct, and willing to threaten force when Avenue rules are disturbed, yet she checks the facts before punishing anyone. Lan Qing's reputation and presence visibly unsettle her composure, revealing an admiration she otherwise tries to conceal. (Chapters 93–95, 639–648)

Disciplines and abilities

Cold Discipline

An Liu commands a cold-based Discipline. She can release arctic wind from her palm and instinctively surrounds herself with a suffocating chill when threatened. Lan Qing avoids her entry test without counterattacking and later suppresses her power before it fully manifests, so the corpus does not establish her rank, maximum temperature, or strongest technique. Security command

Her more consistently demonstrated ability is protective administration. She questions intruders, verifies identities, deploys guards around sensitive events, and enforces invitation and search requirements even on leaders from rival Adept organizations. (Chapters 93–95, 515–516, 600, 639–640)

Relationships

• Lan Qing: An Liu recognizes Lan Qing as an Eastern hero and develops an obvious attraction to him. He saves her from the Astral Phantom, while she later watches his victory and departure with personal concern. (Chapters 94–95, 640–651)
• Lan Jue: An Liu knows Lan Jue through the Jewelry Store and helps support his business and Avenue responsibilities while he is away. (Chapters 59–61, 495, 515–516)
• Keer: She assists an exhausted Ke'er with the Jewelry Store during the rest of the household's long absence. (Chapter 495)
• Wine Master: An Liu brings the Wine Master to evaluate Lan Qing and later operates security for events held under the Avenue leadership. (Chapters 94–95, 639)
