Calamity in the East Ocean Continent

Su Yi Cheng is a hard, respected official whose earlier injuries left him unable to have children, making Su’Er the family’s sole young heir and the focus of his affection. He puts aside official obligations for her birthday and engagement banquet, openly displaying pride that contrasts with the severe face and iron discipline known to his soldiers. The Defense and Founding of Ling Tian City

At the banquet, Su Yi Cheng witnesses Ling Chen overwhelm Murong Xiong Tian and expose Xuanyuan Xue Yi’s conduct. He is shocked by both the combat disparity and the humiliating recordings, then orders military doctors when the engagement candidate collapses. The episode breaks the planned alliance without making Su Yi Cheng its mastermind or a combatant able to challenge Ling Chen. (Chapters 501–503)

The Moon God Palace and the Shura’s Return

Su’Er’s Isrock infection forces Su Yi Cheng to confront the family’s oldest nightmare. He initially rejects claims of a cure as impossible, even when Ling Tian is named, but remains awake awaiting news and is overwhelmed when Su’Er appears healthy on a video call. Xiya and the Perfect Moon

In the restored later years, Su Yi Cheng receives Ling Chen warmly during a family birthday and shares treasured tea, showing that hostility has given way to familiarity. The domestic scene supplies no evidence of retirement or a new office. His latest supported condition is alive, close to Su’Er, and accepting of Ling Chen within the family circle. Appearance and personality

Su Yi Cheng is known as the Iron-Blooded Senior Official, usually stern, unsmiling, and intimidating to subordinates. Around Su’Er he becomes openly proud and affectionate. His blunt skepticism and military decisiveness remain visible during crises, but they coexist with intense fear of losing the niece he treats as his own child. (Chapters 493–496, 708–714)

Abilities and powers

His demonstrated power is military and political authority, including command of soldiers and access to family resources.
