Mu Cai Ling — Shura’s Wrath

Mu Cai Ling, publicly known as the Forgotten God Representative, is the Moon God Clan official assigned to preserve order on the Forgotten Continent. She confronts Ling Tian over the destruction of the Forgotten City, but her attempt to report the returning Lunar Scourge ends when Ling Chen forcibly marks her soul with a Soulstealing Curse. Biography

The Underworld and the Forgotten City

Mu Cai Ling arrives after Ling Chen’s Undead army and Phoenix God Heavenly Flames have devastated the Forgotten City. She recognizes the fire, condemns the disproportionate revenge, and prepares to imprison Ling in the Lunar Sky Hell, but the Underworld King’s superior power and God Cannon force her into negotiations. She accepts a conditional blood oath protecting Ling Tian City, then detects the Lunar Scourge and tries to reach the Moon God Palace. Fey freezes her in time, allowing Ling’s otherwise unreliable Soulstealing Curse to bypass her defenses; the imposed mark prevents her warning and redirects her loyalty without erasing her memory or office. The Moon God Palace and the Shura’s Return

Using the hairpin Mu gives him, Ling summons her by her private name and questions her about the Moon God Palace. Under Soulstealing she reveals its distant location, personnel, teleport routes, spatial restriction, shrine structure, and the Moon God Orb in the First Shrine, while still warning him that intrusion is dangerous. Her knowledge helps verify Qian Gun Gun’s map and enables the later infiltration. Mu subsequently continues her public duty: during the demon-beast catastrophe she uses light power to suppress a Shadow Demon Beast, refuses to retreat before impossible odds, and obeys White Snow’s order to reinforce Vermillion Bird City. Appearance and personality

Mu Cai Ling is an extremely beautiful woman in a moon-white dress, usually surrounded by pale fog that hides her features and makes her appear to stand above the clouds. She carries a Moon God Staff, and her arrival is accompanied by enough pressure to burden Ling and his mount. When the fog clears, her bearing remains ethereal and authoritative. Before the curse, Mu is calm, proud, severe, and committed to the Moon God Clan’s concept of order, although anger can break that composure. She recognizes the Forgotten City’s wrongdoing but prioritizes stopping mass destruction. After Soulstealing, her sudden meekness, attachment, and willingness to betray secrets are explicitly effects of Ling’s soul mark, not evidence that her earlier convictions were false. Her later defense of the continent remains consistent with her original office. (Chapters 691–696, 725–726, and 785)

Abilities and powers

Mu Cai Ling is explicitly a Mysterious God-grade Moon God Representative whose holy light counters Darkness-aligned enemies. Her power is formidable by human standards but far below the Underworld King and the three Moon Goddesses, and it does not protect her mind when time itself is stopped.

Moon God power and judgment

Mu can manifest a Moon God Staff, release oppressive force, fly or hover, vanish in white light, and prepare the sealing judgment that would send an offender to the Lunar Sky Hell. She recognizes Phoenix God Heavenly Flames but cannot quickly extinguish them across an entire burning city, and the million dispersed Undead exceed what she can remove before the city falls. Her judicial authority is therefore backed by great combat power, not unlimited control over mass crises. (Chapters 691–693)

Moon God Light Phoenix Slash

Moon God Light Phoenix Slash forms a brilliant silver attack that pierces a Darkness field, destroys lower-grade demon beasts, and knocks an advanced Shadow Demon Beast backward. Because holy Moon God energy naturally counters Darkness, Mu can gradually suppress that single enemy. The advantage does not erase differences in number and strength: two Shadow Demon Beasts plus the stronger Sky Demon Beast leave her unable even to delay them reliably, requiring Moon Goddess intervention. Knowledge, travel, and institutional access

As the representative assigned to a continent, Mu can use Moon God teleport channels unavailable to ordinary beings, cross large distances rapidly, identify clan artifacts, and describe Moon God Palace organization. Her knowledge has limits: she rarely returns to the Palace, cannot enter the First Shrine, and admits that its recent secrets may be unknown to her. Her hairpin can open the Palace’s spatial restriction, but losing it could bring punishment and it does not bypass internal guards or the Moon Goddesses. (Chapters 725–726 and 735)

Mental defenses and Soulstealing limitation

At full strength, Mu’s Mysterious God-grade power and mental defenses make Ling’s Soulstealing Curse unlikely to succeed. Fey’s time stop freezes her body, will, power, and defenses, creating the exceptional opening that lets the curse enter her soul. The resulting mark makes Ling the most important person to her and compels obedience, but it is an imposed vulnerability rather than one of Mu’s own abilities. No chapter shows her breaking, removing, or voluntarily accepting the effect by Chapter 850. (Chapters 695–696 and 725–726)

Relationships

Ling Chen: Mu first judges Ling as the perpetrator of the Forgotten City disaster and detects his Lunar Scourge. After he forcibly applies Soulstealing, she protects his secret, answers summons, and gives information under compelled loyalty; this later cooperation should not be mistaken for free reconciliation. (Chapters 691–696 and 725–726)
Fey: Fey tracks Mu and freezes time around her, removing the defenses that would normally resist Ling’s curse. Their encounter is decisive but does not establish a continuing personal bond. (Chapters 694–696)
Underworld King: Mu recognizes the Underworld King’s rank and is forced to retreat before his aura and Underworld God Cannon. His intervention prevents her from judging Ling and compels the settlement that saves the Forgotten City. (Chapters 692–693)
