Evil Black Dragon

The Evil Black Dragon is an Ancient Beast forced into service as guardian of Sunrise City’s City Lifeline after defeat by the Moon God Clan. Ling Chen exploits its suppressed pride and violent nature, provoking it into abandoning the lifeline and rampaging through the city before the Cherry Blossom God Representative sends it to the Lunar Sky Hell. (Chapters 418–419 and 466–473)

Biography

Calamity in the East Ocean Continent

Ling first finds the Evil Black Dragon sleeping beside Sunrise City’s protected lifeline and avoids waking it while scouting. He later returns openly, freezes and strikes its face, mocks its forced service as a watchdog, and then lets it chase him toward the surface. Enraged beyond reason, the dragon abandons its post and attacks Sunrise City while Ling destroys the lifeline. It fights the Cherry Blossom God Representative, breaks her first seal while she repairs the city, and attacks again until Ling freezes it long enough for a Lunar Sky Hell Formation to imprison it. (Chapters 418–419 and 466–473)

The Underworld and the Forgotten City

The Evil Black Dragon has no direct role in the Underworld. Ling later explains that its surprise attack left the Cherry Blossom God Representative exhausted after she restored the lifeline, creating the opening he used to subdue her. The recollection emphasizes circumstance: he could not defeat a healthy Moon God Representative merely because he had manipulated the dragon. (Chapter 695)

The Moon God Palace and the Shura’s Return

While traveling through the Lunar Sky Hell, Ling remembers that the Evil Black Dragon was sealed somewhere within the same immense prison. It is cited as an example of a Mysterious God-grade inmate he would not want to encounter casually. The text does not show the dragon escaping, dying, or meeting Ling again, so imprisonment remains its latest confirmed state. (Chapter 746)

Appearance and personality

The Evil Black Dragon is gigantic, with black metallic scales, a lizard-like mouth, two protruding fangs, a long black horn, bat-like wings, armored claws, and a conical tail more than ten metres long. Its eyes become blood-red when furious, and darkness and black flames gather around its body. (Chapters 418 and 467–472)

It is murderous, proud, resentful, and easy to manipulate through humiliation. Submission preserves its life but never changes its nature or reconciles it to captivity. Once Ling frames its guardianship as disgrace, accumulated resentment erupts into a rampage in which the dragon treats Sunrise City’s residents as targets rather than people it has protected. Abilities and powers

The Evil Black Dragon is a Mysterious God-grade Ancient Beast with immense strength, darkness power, flight, destructive claws and tail, black flames, and attacks capable of breaking mountains or devastating city districts. It can burst through more than a hundred metres of earth and survive an Elemental Storm, though the storm leaves it injured and weakened. (Chapters 418 and 466–471)

Its power has sharp limits. Ling’s Moon Shadow can freeze it and the Evil God’s Mask reflects its attacks; suppressing its skills lets Ling outrun it with Broken Shadow. The Cherry Blossom God Representative is substantially stronger even before its storm injuries, and a prepared Lunar Sky Hell Formation can transport it once held still. (Chapters 466–473)

• Ling Chen: Ling studies the dragon, humiliates it, and turns its anger into a weapon against Sunrise City. He later saves the weakened Cherry Blossom God Representative from it and provides the immobilization needed for its imprisonment. (Chapters 418–419 and 466–473)
• Cherry Blossom God Representative / Snow Cherry: She originally defeats and spares the dragon, assigning it guardianship instead of death. After its rampage she overpowers and ultimately sends it into the Lunar Sky Hell, with Ling’s assistance during the final attempt. (Chapters 418 and 470–473)
