Calamity in the East Ocean Continent

Cruelty Ichinawa issues a region-wide challenge to Ling Chen, presenting the encounter as an honorable duel while choosing Sunrise City’s central square, where an immense home crowd and immediate revival access make the setup a trap. Ling accepts but casts the Scaredy Cat Curse before combat begins. Cruelty panics, loses control of himself, and flees, transforming his attempt at national prestige into public humiliation. The Defense and Founding of Ling Tian City

Cruelty does not personally return during Ling Tian City’s later conflicts. Instead, Li Xiao Xue recalls his collapse when another opponent displays curse-induced behavior, recognizing the incident as a precedent for a Feng Chen Curse. His lasting narrative consequence is therefore evidentiary: his humiliation helps Ling’s allies identify the same power in a new setting. (Chapter 595)

Appearance and personality

The corpus gives Cruelty little physical description. He is boastful and calculating enough to frame an ambush as a fair contest, relying on nationalist pressure to compel Ling to attend.
