Felise

Felise, sometimes called Elly, is a former Bright Castle Handmaiden who follows Seishan into Clan Song and becomes one of the Blood Sisters. During the Domain War she encounters her old Forgotten Shore companion Sid as an enemy, survives their interrupted duel, and later fights beside her when both armies are engulfed by Nightmare Creatures. (Chapters 1998–2255)

Biography

Friends divided by the Domains

Felise and Sid attended the Academy together, reached the Dark City in the same year, and paid tribute to enter the Bright Castle after arriving with a few soul shards. They stayed close there until Gunlaug's caste system separated them: Felise became a Handmaiden under Seishan, while Sid entered the Guards. Both survived the Forgotten Shore and eventually Ascended, but loyalty to their respective leaders placed them on opposite sides of the Domain War. (Chapter 1998)

Their paths cross in battle when the Song and Sword armies clash. Felise has become a red-clad Blood Sister, while Sid serves among Valor's forces. The two experienced Masters fight with enough power to resemble a small calamity inside the wider war. Neither approaches the duel as a stranger, and memories of shared youth complicate the violence even while training and duty demand a decisive end. (Chapters 1998–2001)

Sid finally gains the advantage but refuses to kill Felise, pressing her down and telling “Elly” to stay put instead. That choice risks Sid's own life and prevents their winding paths from ending in murder. The wider battle separates or interrupts them, allowing both to survive. The scene does not show Felise making an equivalent choice first, so their old affection should not be used to erase that they fought earnestly as enemies. (Chapters 2001–2002)

Allies against the Nightmare horde

Felise remains with the surviving Blood Sisters near Seishan and the Seventh Royal Legion during the final confrontation between the Domains. Once the human armies are overwhelmed by Nightmare Creatures and the Sovereigns' battle, old allegiances lose practical meaning. Sid pulls a bloodied Felise to her feet during a monster attack, and the two fight together rather than resuming their private war. (Chapters 2210–2222)

A Nightmare Creature nearly finishes Felise after prolonged fighting, but Nephis's remote flames heal and strengthen soldiers across the battlefield. Felise and Sid recover enough to continue their joint defense in the renewed radiance. Both are alive in their final direct scene, facing the horde side by side; the corpus does not establish Felise's postwar allegiance, location, or later response to the fall of Ki Song. (Chapters 2250–2255)

Appearance and personality

Felise is a beautiful young woman who wears the red garments associated with Seishan's Blood Sisters. Battle leaves her pale, frightened, bloodied, and eventually soaked through with blood, but she repeatedly forces herself back into the fight. The corpus gives no stable details for her hair, eyes, height, or distinguishing marks. (Chapters 1998–2002 and 2210–2255)

She is loyal, determined, and capable of lethal commitment even against someone she once loved as a friend. Felise resents Sid's attempt to help and insists she can stand on her own, showing pride that survives injury. Her complicated gaze before the last battle and willingness to cooperate against abominations suggest that personal bonds remain beneath Domain loyalty, though she never receives enough viewpoint narration to define her private politics. (Chapters 1998–2002 and 2210–2255)

Abilities and Aspect

Felise is an Ascended warrior and a member of the elite Blood Sisters, strong enough to wage a destructive duel against another veteran Master. She uses a combat Aspect, but the corpus does not name it, identify individual Abilities, state her Flaw, or describe an independent Transformation. Her rank and training support superhuman physical performance without revealing a unique mechanic that can be attributed safely. (Chapters 1998–2002)

She fights with sufficient skill and resilience to survive the Domain War's final horde after severe wounds, especially once Nephis's flame restores her. The healing and enhancement belong to Nephis, not Felise. Similarly, association with the Blood Sisters does not by itself establish that Felise shares Seishan's bloodline powers or Aspect; the group is an elite cohort rather than proof of identical supernatural abilities. (Chapters 2210–2255)

Relationships

Sid

Sid is Felise's Academy friend, Bright Castle contemporary, battlefield enemy, and eventual ally of necessity. Their shared history makes Sid unable to deliver a killing blow, and her old nickname “Elly” surfaces when Sid restrains her. After the royal struggle collapses into survival against Nightmare Creatures, Sid again protects Felise and the two fight together. The story ends their last scene with reconciliation in action rather than a spoken settlement. (Chapters 1998–2002 and 2222–2255)

Seishan

Felise enters the Bright Castle's Handmaidens under Seishan and follows her to Clan Song after returning from the Forgotten Shore. She later becomes one of the red-clad Blood Sisters positioned among Seishan's soldiers. This is a long institutional loyalty, but no private exchange between the women is shown in Felise's cited chapters, and her postwar service is unknown. (Chapters 1998 and 2210)

Nephis

Nephis and Felise stand on opposing Domain sides until the final battle makes that division irrelevant. Nephis's flame reaches Felise at the moment a Nightmare Creature is about to kill her, healing and empowering her without a direct meeting. The rescue reflects Nephis's decision to aid humanity across faction lines rather than a documented personal bond between the two women. (Chapters 2250–2255)

Items

Felise wears red Blood Sister garments and fights with the equipment expected of an Ascended combatant, but the corpus does not name or describe a personal weapon, armor Memory, Echo, or charm. No item can be traced uniquely to her custody before or after the war, so none is linked to the catalog. (Chapters 1998–2255)
