Ceres is a Saint whose Transcendent form is an enormous three-headed canine. She first fought for the Song Domain during its advance through Godgrave, survived the Domain War, and later joined the coalition defending humanity from the King of Nothing at the Lake of Tears. Biography

The Hollows campaign

Ceres appeared during the Song Domain's conquest of a Citadel in the Hollows, supporting Seishan and Siord against a Great Demon. In her three-headed canine form she stayed near the creature's legs and tried to tear into its shins while the other Saints pressed from different directions. The enemy's enormous scale nevertheless let it kick her away before the formation could secure a decisive advantage. (Chapter 1924)

The blow left Ceres badly wounded and unable to return to that exchange, establishing that her immense transformed body was neither invulnerable nor sufficient by itself against a Great opponent. She survived the campaign and remained one of Song's active Saints, later approaching the Lord of Shadows with the royal daughters and allied Transcendents. (Chapters 1924 and 2007)

Battle against the Lord of Shadows

Ceres formed part of the melee vanguard against Sunny, attacking simultaneously with Lonesome Howl and the Jackal. Each of her three heads bit a different part of his transformed leg while her combined mass and strength tried to topple him. Her fangs failed to pierce the Onyx Mantle, however, and Sunny used her body as a shield before slamming her into the ground. (Chapters 2008–2010)

Despite bleeding from all three mouths, Ceres recovered and resumed the coordinated assault. She continued to pressure Sunny at close range, but his ability to change forms and manifest multiple bodies broke the Saints' numerical advantage. Ceres survived the fall of the old Domains and was present among the Saints summoned to the Immortal Flame manor when a new strategic crisis threatened humanity.
