Hades' Spirit Eating Sword

Hades' Spirit Eating Sword is a death-domain ability inherited through Hades' legacy. Although named and visualized as a sword, its later use through Yeon-woo's shadow makes its status closer to a power than a transferable physical artifact.

History

Inheritance from Hades

Yeon-woo obtains the Spirit Eating Sword through his succession to Hades' underworld authority and the Throne of Death. Its function is immediately associated with taking in spirits and converting what is devoured into power rather than with ordinary sword ownership. (Chapters 430, 446)

Expansion into a devouring domain

Yeon-woo uses the power to devour the Great Warrior and later drives it into Typhon, where it reveals a Gula nature and feeds the Sin Stone. He also applies it to separate and consume powers, Factors, bodies, and spiritual worlds that ordinary physical attacks cannot handle. (Chapters 528, 530, 551–553, 577–578)

When the effect is granted to Shadow Domain, the Spirit Eating Sword performs large-scale devouring and forcibly absorbs the Soulstone Luxuria. Later uses consume other divine or otherworldly existences, and the power remains active when Yeon-woo accesses Allforone's absorbed memories. (Chapters 590, 593, 638, 747, 781, 788, 813)
