Yanu

Yanu is a smiling One-horned tribe warrior and one of the candidates to succeed the Psychic Medium. His friendly manner toward Yeon-woo hides the vigilance and killing intent he turns on threats to the tribe.

Biography

Suspicion leads to a fatal pursuit

Yanu meets Yeon-woo near the Phoenix's nest and safely guides him through a foggy formation, treating the new disciple with open friendliness. His sharper role emerges when a clan errand brings him to Henova's smithy and he senses danger around Jang Wei. Although his detection is weaker than Edora's, Yanu follows the stranger and confronts him rather than ignore the threat. Jang Wei notices the pursuit and kills him; the One-horned tribe's later mobilization forces the killer to reckon with the consequences of murdering one of its warriors. Appearance and personality

Yanu has a pleasant face and a bright, seemingly foolish smile that Yeon-woo's Draconic Eyes judge sincere. The same face can become intimidating, and his aura places him around Phante's level. He is warm with allies but vigilant and uncompromising toward outsiders he considers dangerous. (Chapters 91, 186)

Abilities and powers

As a candidate for Psychic Medium, Yanu possesses supernatural sensitivity capable of detecting danger in Jang Wei, although he admits his perception is weaker than Edora's. He is also a famous warrior whose aura and combat reputation approach Phante's level. The corpus does not name his techniques, and his failed attempt to conceal his pursuit shows that perception and martial skill do not make him an expert tracker. (Chapters 91, 186, 212)
