Lana

Lana is Jeong-woo's free-spirited second teacher, a former sea-roving captain whose family ties later help Yeon-woo cross the Demonic Sea.

Biography

A captain becomes Jeong-woo's teacher

Jeong-woo seeks Lana after learning from Galliard, using a boat made from the Cannibal Monster King to reach the wandering teacher. Lana's independence also shapes her crews: as Triton's former captain, she captures Ted and then answers his attempted mutiny by establishing a new pecking order rather than losing command. When alive, she later leads the large Blue Rose crew and teaches Jeong-woo through direct, demanding experience. (Chapters 268 and 291; Chapter 484)

A dead daughter opens the Demonic Sea

After Lana's death, Yeon-woo summons her soul because her mother, the Vampiric Lord, blocks the route he needs. Lana identifies herself as the daughter of the Vampiric Lord and Count Ferenc, then intervenes before her mother can provoke Allforone and guides Yeon-woo through the Tutorial and Demonic Sea. Much later, another summoning lets her reunite tearfully with both parents, resolving the long separation that had defined their family. (Chapters 463–485 and 649)

Appearance and personality

The scoped text emphasizes Lana's free spirit and vigorous presence more than fixed clothing or facial features. She is direct, energetic, and comfortable imposing order on a rebellious crew. As a summoned soul she remains emotionally recognizable, quickly taking charge of a dangerous encounter but becoming openly tearful when reunited with her parents. (Chapters 268, 291, 468–485, and 649)

Abilities and powers

Lana fights with a spear and possesses the broad combat experience needed to lead large crews. Her “dynamic” skills are praised, but the text does not give a stable named technique with defined limits. After death she does not return independently: Yeon-woo calls her through his soul powers, and her chief value in that state is retained identity, knowledge of the Demonic Sea, and authority with her mother. (Chapters 291 and 468–485)
